Bug#416961: O: stunnel4 -- Universal SSL tunnel for network daemons

2007-03-31 Thread Julien Lemoine
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I orphan the stunnel4 package.
A transition from stunnel 3 to stunnel 4 must be done for stunnel package
(It will break user scripts, an information must be provided to users...)

The package description is:
The stunnel program is designed to work as SSL encryption
wrapper between remote client and local (inetd-startable) or
remote server. The concept is that having non-SSL aware daemons
running on your system you can easily setup them to
communicate with clients over secure SSL channel.
 .
stunnel can be used to add SSL functionality to commonly
used inetd daemons like POP-2, POP-3 and IMAP servers
without any changes in the programs' code.
 .
This package is compatible with stunnel 3.x version (via a wrapper).
Stunnel 4.x is more actively maintained upstream.

Bug#416954: O: chmlib -- library for dealing with Microsoft CHM format files

2007-03-31 Thread Julien Lemoine
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I orphan chmlib package, there is no new version available for the moment.

The package description is:
It is a very simple library, but sufficient for dealing with all of the
chm files. Library currently does not has write support.
 .
CHM files are used on the Micosoft Windows platform to store program
documentation, almost always in the form of HTML, with some non-standard
quirks. CHM files are a form of archive known as InfoTech Storage Format
(ITSF) files and contain some special files to implement features of the
CHM viewer. On Windows they are accessed through a kind of virtual
filesystem exposed by a dynamically loaded library. ITSF files have
UTF-8 filenames and use an LZX cruncher to compress all the files in one
big chunk. Both the ITSF and the formats of the internal CHM files are
highly indexed and their designs are all clearly optimized for read-only
 access.
 .
 This package includes test programs

Bug#176982: [DEBIAN] codeboost

hello,
Are you currently working on codeboost packaging ?
The last release does not compile with sc (stratego compiler) 0.9, but
the
cvs version works fine.
You need to build-depends on xt-strategoxt, after that, you can compile
with
"make SC=/usr/bin/xt-sc".

Best Regards.

Bug#152199: ITP: cwi-xt -- Bundle of CWI tools

2002-07-07 Thread Julien LEMOINE
Package: wnpp
Version: N/A; reported 2002-07-07
Severity: wishlist

cwi tools are a set of packages from "Centrum voor Wiskunde en
Informatica"(www.cwi.nl),
it includes metapackage cwi-xt and metapackage 0cwi-stratego.

packages list (classified by priority) :

Package name: cwi-aterm
Version : 1.6.7

http://www.cwi.nl/projects/MetaEnv/aterm/aterm-1.6.7.tar.gz
Upstream Authors: Pieter Olivier <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
  Hayco de Jong <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Licence : LGPL
Description : Data type (Tree) for exchange in distributed
applications
ATerm (short for Annotated Term) is an abstract data type designed
for the exchange of tree-like data structures between distributed
 applications.
 .
The ATerm library forms a comprehensive procedural interface which
enables creation and manipulation of ATerms in C.
The ATerm implementation is based on maximal subterm sharing and
 automatic garbage collection.
 .
A binary exchange format for the concise representation of ATerms
(sharing preserved) allows the fast exchange of ATerms between
applications. In a typical application---parse trees which contain
considerable redundant information---less than 2 bytes are needed to
represent a node in memory, and less than 2 bits are needed to represent
it in binary format. The implementation of ATerms scales up to the
manipulation of ATerms in the giga-byte range.

Description : Librairies and Parse Tools for the parser tree format
AsFix2
This package provides a typed C interface for the construction and
manipulation of parse trees. This interface is based on the cwi_aterm
library. Part of it is generated automatically and another part is
 written by hand.
 .
Among others, this package provides tools for unparsing and
visualization of parse trees. There are also library functions and
tools for flattening lexicals, lists and layout. AsFix2 with
flattened lexicals, lists and layout is called AsFix2Me. This is the
parse tree format that is used in the MetaEnvironment.

Version : 3.7

Build-depends : cwi-pt-support
Upstream Authors: Jeroen Scheerder <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Licence : GPL
Description : A scannerless generalized LR parser
The SGLR parser interprets parse tables generated by the
ParsetableGenerator from an SDF2 syntax definition. The parser
outputs parse trees or parse forests. Scannerless means that no
scanner is used to tokenize the input stream. SGLR takes characters
as tokens and uses a parse table that contains enough information for
both the lexical and the context-free syntax. Generalized means that
the parser finds all possible derivations for a certain input string.
 .
The effect is that an SGLR parser does not complain about conflicts
 in the parse table.

Bug#142764: ITP: ucstring : unicode support for eiffel

2002-04-13 Thread Julien LEMOINE
Package: wnpp
Version: N/A
Severity: wishlist

* Package name  : ucstring
  Version : 1.3.1
  Upstream Author : majkel kretschmar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
* URL   : http://sourceforge.net/projects/ucstring/
* License : Eiffel Forum Freeware License, version 1
* Description : unicode support for eiffel

Ucstring library implements a string which is a sequence of 32bit characters.
Most of currently available Eiffel-compilers only have 8bit-characters. There
is some noise about implementing 32bit-characters as in Java, but it will
surely take some years to be within the standard libraries.

This library implements -- similar to the existing classes (CHARACTER,
CHARACTER_REF, and STRING) -- unicode-orientet classes (UCCHAR, UCCHAR_REF
und UCSTRING).

Bug#141381: ITP: olena - generic image processing library

2002-04-06 Thread Julien LEMOINE
Upstream authors prefer to wait for the final version of libolena before
adding it in debian.

So this package will probably not be released before end of 2002.

A package for testing purpose is available at :
http://people.debian.org/~speedblue/olena
