No, I don't intend to package qr-backup anymore. If anyone else is interested
they can take it.

Are you still intending to package reed solomon? I am working through the RFP
list and qr-backup has reedsolo is a dependency.

If you are ok for me to do the packaging, I would be happy to do so.

I took an initial look and there seems to be several dependencies missing from
Debian.

These would be: misk, trieregex and pytomlpp.

I would be happy to work on bringing this to Debian. But with so many
prerequisite packages,

would it make more sense to join the Python Team and work these dependencies
(and eventually poxy)

through them?

This would require a lot of sponsorship support and hopefully the Python team
could be
faster than mentors.

Thank you,

I've contacted the upstream authors about this prospective package [1].

They indicated that there is not a desire to have their package in Debian due
to the long release cycle. There are a few changes that would need to be made
but without their interest or consent, it seems stuck. It is in good shape and
would be easy to put into Debian due to most of the packaging (e.g. /debian)

being done, however.

Bug#995460: ITP: workflow -- Parallel computing and asynchronous web server engine

2021-10-01 Thread Lance Lin
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : workflow

  Version : 0.9.8

  Upstream Author : Li Yingxin

* URL : https://github.com/sogou/workflow/

* License : Apache-2.0

  Programming Lang: (C++)

  Description : Parallel computing and asynchronous web server engine

Workflow can be used as a scalable web server to handle a variety of server

workflows. It can be used to orchestrate complex relationships between

computing and networking. Workflow currently supports protocols for HTTP,

Redis, MySQL, and Kafka.

I plan to maintain workflow myself since I didn't see a team that seemed
appropriate. I'm open to suggestions though.
