Bug#160529: ASK for Debian
Robert Millan wrote: I'm CCing all of you. Which of you is going to maintain it? For those not being Debian members I offer to sponsor the package if necessary. Since Marco is (I think) the upstream developer, and it appears he's already trying to put some work into a Debian version, I think it makes sense to let him do it. He will probably need advice in getting his source code to conform to Debian expectations, though. (One thing I noticed is that debuild won't work on his sources. Instead, the makefiles contain instructions to call debhelper tools directly. I think that may be backwards?) --Larry
Bug#164344: Debian package: ask - an active spam killer
Greetings, Sorry for the late reply. I had put my working copy of ASK away because I thought Martin might be working on it. I can pull it out again. Martin, thanks for your offer of sponsorship help. I may have to take you up on it. I'll let you know. --Larry
Bug#164344: Active Spam Killer: dupe oops
There was a RFP (#160529) and an ITP (#164344) open for Active Spam Killer (ASK) at the same time. I don't know if that is usual or not. Because of this, unfortunately, I spotted ASK in the list of requested packages (http://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/requested) and started working on it immediately, changing the RFP's title to indicate an ITP. Do these two bugs need to be merged? Or should the title of the first one be changed back? Or should something else happen? Sorry for any trouble. --LG
Bug#160529: ITP: ask -- Active Spam Killer
I found this in the list of requested packages and thought I'd give it a go. I think I'm actually more than halfway done with it already. I like it. Small hitch: I've been out of the Debian-development loop for a while. It looks like my account ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) is still in the system, but the password I used to have no longer works, perhaps because it's been too long since I've done anything. If anyone can point me in the right direction to get reinstated, I'd sure appreciate it. TIA. = Larry Gilbert Renton, WA, USA <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> __ Do you Yahoo!? Bug#83341: dict-revo packaged
Since dict-revo is now packaged and included in the distro, I think this item can be closed? = Larry Gilbert Renton, WA, USA <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> __ Do you Yahoo!? New DSL Internet Access from SBC & Yahoo! http://sbc.yahoo.com
Bug#83341: Debian package of dict-revo
Martin, I've just discovered that you maintain an unofficial Debian package for dict-revo (http://www.ens-lyon.fr/~mquinson/deb.html#dict-revo). There is a demand for dict-revo in the Debian distribution, and to the best of my knowledge, no one else is working on it. I have not yet looked at your package, but since it looks like you have completed it successfully, I think it would be welcomed as an official package. Do you think you would be interested in maintaining it officially? If so, I can help you contact the appropriate people. (I am just an ordinary Debian enthusiast, myself.) Please let me know, either way. Thanks! = Larry Gilbert Renton, WA, USA <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> __ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Health - Feel better, live better http://health.yahoo.com
Bug#83341: I can look at dict-revo
I can take a look at dict-revo; I know some XML and am comfortable enough with Esperanto to talk with the upstream maintainer in e-mail if need be. I have been a Debian developer in the past, but have been out of the loop for a while, so I would probably need to have my records brought up-to-date if I were to become the official maintainer for this. In particular, I would need to send in a new GPG key as my old PGP key has been lost. = Larry Gilbert Renton, WA, USA <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> __ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
