 There was issues in the package from Arthur, and I believe that my
 package is better. Of course, I'm open to any suggestion and improvement.

I agree with the package, mine is almost similar (but you upload it first).

 If you guys agree with the package and don't see any issue, I'll upload
 once the dependencies are accepted in SID by ftp-masters.

I check the package at my laptop and upload some changes to Alioth:

+ Fixed copyright file (There was a lintian warning)
+ Add a patch for php-token-stream PATH
+ Adding php5-xdebug to Depends:

I try to run a simple example:

acme@volatile /tmp $ cat foo.php
?php
require 'PHP/CodeCoverage/Autoload.php';

$coverage = new PHP_CodeCoverage;
//$coverage-start('name of test');

// ...

$coverage-stop();

?

But i've got this error:

acme@volatile /tmp $ php -f foo.php
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PHP_CodeCoverage_Exception' with message
'Xdebug is not loaded.' in /usr/share/php/PHP/CodeCoverage/Driver/Xdebug.php:67

However i can't install php5-xdebug at this machine:

requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable

or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 php5-xdebug : Depends: phpapi-20100525+lfs
E: Broken packages

I will try it on a clean sid machine and let you know the results. Don't know
if xdebug is broken or is just my machine.

 Luis, do you plan on making more phpunit packages? It'd be really great
 if you do! Arthur, do are you going to make more phpunit packages as well?

Sure! I don't have much time this month but i will help as much as i can.

 Once we get all these into SID, I think it'd be a good idea to start
 having unit tests for the PEAR packages that support it. I'm currently
 unsure how to do it, but that's certainly a very good quality insurance.

Like running phpunit tests on a clean sid installation? Sounds good to me.

Thanks,

Bug#611767: [RFR] - Multiple (4) PEAR packages needed by PHPUnit - Was: [RFR] - PHP_Timer (Needed by phpunit)

2012-03-26 Thread Luis Uribe
Hi Thomas,

It's me again! Trying to upgrade PHPUnit into Debian.

After our last [0]email i just [1]ask Mathieu for the best way to install
PEAR packages from a different PEAR channel with pkg-php-tools and i
decided that the best way is to to create a new package:
pear-phpunit-channel, because there are many PEAR packages in that
channel.

So i fill an [2]ITP and [3]upload a new native package for
pear-phpunit-channel. Also i create new packages for [4]php-file-iterator,
[5]php-timer, [6]php-text-template and [7]php-token-stream. All of them
depends of pear-phpunit-channel and install their .reg file so PEAR
didn't install a new version of the same package.

Could you (or someone else) take a look at it? Those are the first set
of packages needed by [8]PHPUnit. The packages are lintian clean and
builds correctly in a pbuilder (sid, i didn't check on testing or stable yet).

  http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/php-timer/php-timer_1.0.2-1.dsc

 Hi,

 Let me review it.

 1/ debian/README.source
 This file talks about dpatch, however, you are using quilt. Please fix
 it, or simply remove the file.

  6/ Once installed, your package creates:
  /usr/share/php/PHP/Timer.php
  /usr/share/php/PHP/Timer/Autoload.php

  IMHO, it should rather install:
  /usr/share/php/Timer/Timer.php
  /usr/share/php/Timer/Timer/Autoload.php

  Done, i change the dir's name in override_dh_install because i don't know
  (and
  i don't think it's possible) how to represent a new dir in a patch. Let me
  know
  if that approach is wrong.

  I also add override_dh_auto_install because dh_auto_install
  -O--buildsystem=phppear
  didn't work when i build it on pbuilder. It seems to happen because
  php-timer
  is a PEAR package from another channel, also i'd like to know what do you
  think
  about it.

 I think you should talk about it with Mathieu Parent, who wrote
 pkg-php-tools. I've put him as Cc: to this mail.

  7/ Do you know why your package doesn't build in Squeeze? :)

  Ehhm ... it is necessary? I always build it on sid.

 It's not mandatory, but it's better if it does, so that you can
 eventually write a backport. Never mind, forget it.

 Cheers,

 Thomas

 Did you resolve that in the meantime?

No, i can't reproduce it with some of my logs so i need to look deeper.

 Otherwise the package looked good (though I wasn't really finished
 with looking yet).

I just upload a new version to mentors: fix the patch and bump the
Standards-Version

Bug#611395: ITP: php-file-iterator -- A FilterIterator implementation

2011-02-15 Thread Luis Uribe
Hi,

 May I suggest to erase what luis has pushed into pkg-php to replace it with
 mine, if that seems fine for you too.

Of course! It's ok by me. You can own the ITP if you like too.

Thanks!

Bug#610676: One packaging of php-codecoverage

2011-02-14 Thread Luis Uribe
Hi Olivier,

On Sat, Feb 12, 2011 at 10:04:40AM +0100, Olivier Berger wrote:
 Is there anything blocking either of you from trying and joining the pkg-php
 team and eventually share your packaging sources in its git tree (if that
 plan suits you of course) ?

No, i just joined the team last week and start uploading packages this
weekend. Thing is we have 7 new packages instead of just one.

I'm starting from the bottom, packaging php-ezc-base and
php-ezc-consoletools, which are already on pkg-php-team. They are
_almost_ ready (Just a few lintian warnings, i think).

git:
http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-php/php-ezc-base.git;a=summary
http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-php/php-ezc-consoletools.git;a=summary

ITP's:
http://bugs.debian.org/612039
http://bugs.debian.org/612040

I also have the php-timer (not in pkg-php yet) package almost ready.

 May I help here ?

Of course! Did you wanna (co-)maintain one of them? Reviews of the packages
are also useful.

I expect to send an email to pkg-php-team with the status of the other
packages when i'm at home.

Thanks for your help,

Bug#610676: One packaging of php-codecoverage

2011-01-28 Thread Luis Uribe
Hi Arthur

On Fri, Jan 28, 2011 at 02:50:47PM +0100, Arthur Gautier wrote:

Sure, do you wanna co-maintain the package? I was doing a package too
but it's better to join forces :)

I just build and install your package but phpunit is still unusable,
here is why:

debian:/tmp# phpunit
PHP Warning: require_once(File/Iterator/Factory.php): failed to open stream:
No such file or directory in /usr/share/php/PHP/CodeCoverage/Filter.php on line
46
PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required
'File/Iterator/Factory.php'
(include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in
/usr/share/php/PHP/CodeCoverage/Filter.php on line 46

I discover that php-codecoverage needs:
* PHP_TokenStream-1.0.1
* File_Iterator-1.2.3
* Text_Template-1.1.0
All of it from phpunit.de pear channel.

Also when i install them using PEAR, it also downloads:
* Base-1.8
* ConsoleTools-1.6.1
From components.ez.no PEAR channel

So we need to package at least the other three packages from phpunit.de.
I ask in ez's irc channel and seems that ConsoleTools and Base are not
needed in order to run PHP_CodeCoverage, but i didn't check it yet. I
expect to do that this weekend. After that i will create the ITPs and
start working.

Thanks for your work!

thanks

I have neglected this package for far to long, my apologies.

I originally adopted it because i was using it in my laptop. Since i dont have
a laptop anymore i'm not the best person to maintain it.

The package needs to be changed in order to use libnet1-dev, the changes seems
to be trivial, but i don't know much about libnet right now.

I think that the best action to now is orphan it.

Thanks
