Bug#964785: ITP: shutter -- feature-rich screenshot program

2022-01-04 Thread Michael Kogan
I see, thanks for the update! Sorry for bothering, I wasn't clear about
whether some action is still required from upstream or not.

Hello Sebastian, hello everybody!

Sorry to bother again, is there anything else which can be done from
upstream to make things move forward? Thanks!

Merry Christmas!
Michael

Bug#964785: ITP: shutter -- feature-rich screenshot program

2021-10-31 Thread Michael Kogan
Hi Sebastian!

Great, thanks for moving this forward! Could you please change the minimal
required libgtk3-imageview-perl version to >=10? Also, please let us know,
if we can do anything from upstream to help get it done in time for Ubuntu
22.04.

All the best,
Michael from the Shutter team

Hi, guys! Any news here? People are asking for a Debian package and I don't
know what to tell them:

Hi, guys!

In version 0.99, which has been released by Alexey yesterday, the fix for
gir1.2-ayatanaappindicator3 is included, so you don't need to patch it in
the package.

Anything we can do from upstream to get this moving? We have now up to date
packages for Arch/Manjaro, Fedora, Gentoo, so Debian is the by far biggest
distro which hasn't packaged Shutter yet...

Bug#964785: I'd like to create a shutter package and add it to the Debian package.

2021-08-17 Thread Michael Kogan
I see, thanks for clarifying this! We have documented the dependencies
here: https://shutter-project.org/downloads/dependencies/ Most of them are
actually named in Debian/Ubuntu naming style, as far as I know.

As jiho lee already mentioned, it would be necessary to package
https://metacpan.org/dist/GooCanvas2-CairoTypes and add it as dependency.

The dependency gir1.2-appindicator3-0.1 is necessary for core functionality
(showing the tray icon) but only for Gnome users. Don't know what the best
way to deal with this is... In the Ubuntu PPA this is a "Recommended"
dependency, in Arch Linux an optional one.

Bug#964785: I'd like to create a shutter package and add it to the Debian package.

2021-08-17 Thread Michael Kogan
logix2 has taken over the maintenance for the official Ubuntu PPA at
https://launchpad.net/~shutter/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+packages?field.name_filter=_filter=published_filter=hirsute
recently.

I assume that the package names are valid for Debian as well, so the
package most probably could be reused for Debian with only minor
modifications. Here's a direct link to the actual Shutter package:
https://launchpad.net/~shutter/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+sourcefiles/shutter/0.98-1~1ppa1~hirsute0/shutter_0.98-1~1ppa1~hirsute0.debian.tar.xz

Bug#964785: Shutter 0.97 is out and ready for packaging

2021-06-27 Thread Michael Kogan
Shutter 0.97 fixes several regressions which have been introduced by the
GTK3 port in the 0.96 release. I guess it can be packaged now!
