Bug#373134: O: vtun -- Virtual Tunnel over TCP/IP Networks

2006-06-12 Thread Morgon Kanter
Package: wnpp
Version: N/A; reported 2006-06-12.
Severity: normal

I really don't know what I'm doing with this package. I can't really fix
its bugs or give it the attention it needs, so I'm orphaning it in the
hopes that someone more knowledgable with these sorts of issues can.

Its functionality is generally done better by the openvpn package
anyway; I don't recommend vtun over openvpn for any sort of use.

Bug#194023: Intend to adopt this package

2003-05-20 Thread Morgon Kanter
retitle 194023 ITA: vtun -- Virtual Tunnel over TCP/IP Networks
thanks

Just about finished packaging the new version of this which closes a
number of outstanding bugs. I'd like to adopt this package.

I'd be willing to test it, and if I really like Eclipse, I'd be happy
to even be the co-maintainer after I upgrade to unstable, so if he
needs help he can come to me.

Bug#194023: Quick status report

2003-06-08 Thread Morgon Kanter
Just a quick status report regarding Vtun. I have the next version of
the package (2.6-1) ready, but it's movement to main was rejected
because of licensing issues (GPL but links against OpenSSL). I emailed
upstream a few times about resolving these issues, but have yet to
get an email back from them.

gdsl is a library of generic data structures/abstract data types.
It is well-written with complete and thorough documentation, and I

Bug#179566: Interested in adopting Xae

Hello,

I have just recently begun to convert to the Emacs way. I am interested
in adopting the XML Authoring Environment (Xae), because more and more
recently I seem to be doing quite a bit of work with XML. Its features
seem pretty cool, and it looks like I would get quite a bit of use out
of it.

Could you please sponsor my uploads for this package as well, until I
become a Debian developer?

Thanks,
Morgon Kanter

wondering if you are still planning to package this? I would be happy

Bug#190994: ITP: quat -- quat: a 3D quaternionic fractal generator

* Package name: quat
  Version : 1.20
  Upstream Author : Dirk Meyer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
* URL : http://www.physcip.uni-stuttgart.de/phy11733/index_e.html
* License : GPL
Description : quat: a 3D quaternionic fractal generator

Quat draws 3D "slices" from 4-dimensional quatern fractals. These are
different from what are normally called "three-dimensional" fractals,
which are merely a reinterpretation of two-dimensional data. Quat has
many parameters for coloring, drawing functions, defining intersection
planes, and more.

It can work in both the console and with X. The console version will
save the fractal to a PNG file, and the X version will also display on
screen a version (typically of worse quality) of the image being drawn
to the PNG file.

The original packager (Ivo) said it was okay if I took over/packaged
ZThreads, so the submitter of this wnpp bug is now changed

Bug#264107: O: dia2code -- a dia-UML code generator

2004-08-06 Thread Morgon Kanter
Package: WNPP
Severity: normal

I really don't know what I'm doing with this anymore, and I am unable to
give it the attention that it needs, so therefore I am orphaning it.

This package really needs someone to take over the upstream, it's pretty
safe to say that they are dead considering their last release was in
January of 2002. If nobody comes along to take over in a little while,
I'm going to go ahead and suggest the removal of this package from Debian.
