I see that there is an ITP filed for kicad and about 400 odd days have passed
since then. Are there any issues with the package ? What is preventing you from
uploading the package? If you hve lost interest, please RFP, so that someone
else can package it and Debian users can start using kicad.

Ygl is an X11 library that emulates the 2D routines of SGI's GL
(sometimes called IRIS GL). Please note that GL is different from
OpenGL. Ygl is very simple to use, and very fast. The 2D routines
are built around the standard X11 libraries and reported to be faster
than GL itself. This release will also work with FORTRAN code and has been
built with 3D support. The library therefore requires the use of the OpenGL
 libraries.

The package is in good shape, thanks to the work done by Prabhu Ramachandran.

Description : A script aware replacement to stock java launcher

Hashdot elevates Java-platform script interpreters to first class
status on Unix-like operating systems. It provides a script aware
replacement to the stock 'java' launcher, and thus avoids numerous
issues in using the 'java' launcher to bootstrap a script
interpreter. All relevant interpreter and JVM options (i.e: Java
heap size) may be specified directly in a script header and/or via
system profiles, without resorting to environment variables,
command line arguments, and the additional wrapper shell scripts
  needed to maintain them.
  .
Hashdot can support any Java-platform language. Sample profiles
are provided for Jython, JRuby, Scala, Groovy, Rhino Javascript
  and Clojure.

There are newer upstream versions available. But I am packaging an older

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Hi,

I am a bit tied up with real life and would like someone to take the
maintainance of curl. There is a new upstream version but otherwise the
package is in good shape. The packaging is versioned controlled using
git on alioth [1].

Thanks
Ramakrishnan

Thanks. Adding Alessandro who also responded. It will be great if both
of you completely take over the maintainance of curl from
me. I am adding both of you in the Uploaders.

Alessandro, would you mind looking at the new upstream release? One of
us (myself or Ian) can sponsor the package.

Thanks again.

Bug#382750: O: mined -- Powerful text editor with extensive Unicode and CJK support

2006-08-12 Thread Ramakrishnan Muthukrishnan
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Hi,

I am orphaning mined. I no longer use mined and am no longer interested
in unicode and so on.. which was one of the primary reasons I discovered
mined. Adding to that I have too less time at my disposal to do justice
to it.

I think there is a new upstream available for quite sometime and also afew
bugs and fixes in the BTS.

Thanks

Ramakrishnan

Bug#391851: RFP: svxlink -- flexible voice over internet software for ham radio use

2006-10-08 Thread Ramakrishnan Muthukrishnan
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: svxlink
  Version : unknown
  Upstream Author : Tobias Blomberg (SM0SVX) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
* URL or Web page : http://svxlink.sf.net
* License : GPL
Description : flexible voice over internet software for ham radio use

SvxLink is a flexible general purpose voice services system for ham radio use.
It can act as a repeater controller or operate on a simplex channel. The server
consists of a core that handles the connection to the transceiver. The
transceiver audio is connected to the PC through the sound card, and the PTT
is controlled by a pin in the serial port. The voice services are loaded into
the core as modules. Examples of existing voice services are a help system, a
module that plays back everything you say, a module to connect to other
EchoLink stations, and a voice mail module. The project also includes an
EchoLink client GUI application (Qtel).

Bug#394729: O: cpuid -- An x86 CPU identification program

2006-10-22 Thread Ramakrishnan Muthukrishnan
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Hi,

I do not have time for debian anymore due to other priorities
in life and hence orphaning this package. This should be an
easy package to adopt for any new maintainer to Debian and
requires very less maintainance on DD's part.

Ramakrishnan

Hi,

My main motivation to package it was that people are doing some fun
stuff with it.

Like this:

and this:

and all of them seem to use this font.

It is mainly for fun stuff and not for everyday use as main font. If
more folks feel that it is not worth packaging, then I am okay to close
the bug and move on.

Hmm.. Typo. The upstream url should be read as
