2006-09-17 Thread Stuart Anderson

I touched the package last, and have plans to fix one or two more
things, so I'm willing to adopt this package.

These are the OpenOffice Fonts converted for use with libming,

I already have package for these fonts prepared as part of the ming
sounrce package, and am awaiting some feedback from some of the packages
that will use them. Feedback from others would be welcome as well.

Did that change? Did you fix the grave bugs?

I have adopted the libming packages, and there has been a new version in
unstable for a few weeks now.

Bug#378906: ITP: xts5 -- X Test Suite

That is not a long description. It does not tell me anything, except
that XTS5 was previously known as VSW5. I guess it tests something that
is related to X, but I do not see from your description what it tests or
how it tests it. I do not know what I can use this package for. Please
write a better long description.

Yes, you are right. I've just spent a few days with several fellow X
developers and used the abbreviated terminology that makes sense only
within such a group. My apologies.

How's this for a longer long decription.

This package will contain the X Test Suite (formerly known as VSW5).
This test suite is used to test both the base libraries of the X Window
System, (Xlib, Xt, Xext, and Xi) and the X server. This test suite is
useful both for new development as well a regression suite for
distribution providers. This test suite will be useful to X Window system
developers and packagers, as well as hardware vendors developing new
graphics hardware.

Hello Stuart

I wonder if you could also package the ming-fonts distribution[1], so the ming

Yes, I still need to do that. Instead of just packaging those particular fonts,
I am planning on creating a package that will convert additional fontsets
(such as the msttcorefonts) as well. Thanks for remindingme that I still
need to do this. If I haven't gotten it done in another week or two, please
feel free to poke me again.
