Bug#329955: ITP: biloba -- A 2-4 players strategic game
Hi ! Sorry for not answering your mail. When I received it, I decided to postpone my answer, but as usual, the postponed answer has been turned into the inexisting answer. Sorry. Le Mon, 3 Jul 2006 07:26:37 +0200, Ricardo Mones [EMAIL PROTECTED] a écrit : Well, the problem is that for me those options are not the same :-) Basically I agree with the guidelines proposed here [1] for sponsoring, so if becoming a Debian Developer is in your plans and you want me as sponsor, I can sponsor it, otherwise I'd prefer to package it myself. Probably I should have phrased the question Are you still interested on packaging it for Debian and become a DD in the process? ;-) I'm answering myself because I didn't receive any response regarding this. Have you decided anything? I currently do not have enough time to become a Debian Developer, and I'm not sure that I'm maintaining enough packages (2 currently) to become one. So, do not hesitate to take the biloba package in charge. Thanks ! Bug#329955: ITP: biloba -- A 2-4 players strategic game
Hi, Peter Samuelson a écrit : What sort of game is biloba? The above description tells us almost nothing - basically it is an abstract strategic game, which really could mean anything. Is it turn-based? Pen-and-paper-like? Arcade elements? What proportions of motor skills, mental skills and blind chance? (Those are basics, which still wouldn't really go far enough to explain whether I'd want to install it.) Yes, biloba is a turn-based game. It's played around an hexagonal game plate. Each player has a certain number of pawns, and the goal is to eliminate the pawns of the other players. Each player plays one after the other. During each turn, one player can move one of its pawn against some rules, and in certain conditions, the player can take one of the other players pawns. The rules are not yet translated into english, but I'm willing to do so. I will include RULES.fr and RULES.en files in the documentation. My work on this package is available from https://ssl.bulix.org/svn/thomas/debian/biloba/ (usable with svn-buildpackage). Bug#329955: ITP: biloba -- A 2-4 players strategic game
Hi, Peter Samuelson a écrit : So here's what I would say, then: Description: strategy board game for 2 to 4 players biloba is a turn-based game for 2 to 4 players. Each player moves pawns on a hexagonal board and attempts to eliminate opponents' pawns. Biloba includes an AI opponent, and supports local or network play. Okay, thanks. I've fixed the debian/control file in the SVN repository. At the same time, I added RULES.fr and RULES.en files explaining the rules (translation in english needs to be fixed by a native english speaker), and added biloba to the menu system. Are you willing to sponsor such a package ? Bug#302993: ITP: cduce -- Programming language adapted to the manipulation of XML data
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Thomas Petazzoni [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Package name: cduce Version : 0.3.1 Upstream Author : Alain Frisch [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://www.cduce.org * License : MIT-like license Description : Programming language adapted to the manipulation of XML data CDuce is a modern programming language adapted to the manipulation of XML documents. . Some of CDuce peculiar features: - XML objects can be manipulated as first-class citizen values: elements, sequences, tags, characters and strings, attribute sets; sequences of XML elements can be specified by regular expressions, which also apply to characters strings; - functions themselves are first-class values, they can be manipulated, stored in data structure, returned by a function,...; - a powerful pattern matching operation can perform complex extractions from sequences of XML elements; - a rich type algebra, with recursive types and arbitrary boolean combinations (union, intersection, complement) allows precise definitions of data structures and XML types; general purpose types and types constructors are taken seriously (products, extensible records, arbitrary precision integers with interval constraints, Unicode characters); - polymorphism through a natural notion of subtyping, and overloaded functions with dynamic dispatch; - an highly-effective type-driven compilation schema . CDuce is fast, functional, type-safe, and conforms to basic standards: Unicode, XML, DTD, Namespaces are fully supported, partial support of XML Schema validation is in alpha testing (and undocumented) while queries are being implemented. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10 Locale: LANG=fr_FR, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR (charmap=ISO-8859-1) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
