Bug#522482: RFP: pyamg -- Algebraic multigrid solvers
Package: wnpp Severity: RFP The pyamg package provides a suite of multigrid solvers to be used in conjunction with scipy and numpy. Debian packages are available upstream. It would be nice to make this available in the repositories. AMG is a multilevel technique for solving large-scale linear systems with optimal or near-optimal efficiency. Unlike geometric multigrid, AMG requires little or no geometric information about the underlying problem and develops a sequence of coarser grids directly from the input matrix. This feature is especially important for problems discretized on unstructured meshes and irregular grids. http://code.google.com/p/pyamg/ -viral -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". It provides a graphical tool for managing openmosix nodes. viral -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: powerpc Kernel: Linux lorien 2.4.19-rc3-ben0 #1 Sun Jul 21 13:41:52 EST 2002 ppc Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C -- no debconf information -- http://www.mayin.org/~gandalf For long you live and high you fly, but only if you ride the tide, And balanced on the biggest wave, you race towards an early grave.

Here is Kyle's original mail due to which I orphaned it. I wasn't able to spend time on it anyways.. If Kyle can't take it up for some reason, you should take it up.. Mind if I hijack this? The upstream author has fed me patches [he knows I'm a DD and works on CryptoAPI with me] that he wants to get in Debian. If you still want this package, I'll mail you the patches, otherwise could you orphan the package? Regards, Kyle viral -- http://www.mayin.org/~gandalf I'll see you on the Dark Side of the Moon.

Package: wnpp Version: N/A; reported 2002-08-15 Severity: normal Kyle McMartin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> has offered to take up this package as he works closely with the upstream maintainer and hence I am orphaning it. I am not re-uploading with the Maintainer header changed, as I am hoping Kyle to pick it up right away.. Hoping to see the future versions of vcdimager compile for all architectures. :) Cheers, viral -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: powerpc Kernel: Linux lorien 2.4.19-rc3-ben0 #1 Sun Jul 21 13:41:52 EST 2002 ppc Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C -- no debconf information -- http://www.mayin.org/~gandalf "There is no dark side of the moon really. Bug#134915: ITP: openmosix -- A fork from the current mosix packages

Some people might want to stick with the original, and others might to use the new one. I thought that the original mosix.com development might be closed from now on, but that doesn't seem to be the case. So, I figured it might be easier to just distribute a new version. Currently, only the kernel patches are different, but I expect the userland tools to start differing in a couple of months, and they would then be 2 different projects. openmosix aims to be a separte clustering effort with its own direction in the future. viral -- http://www.mayin.org/~gandalf I'll see you on the Dark Side of the Moon.
