Bug#368072: O: wings3d -- Nendo-inspired 3D polygon mesh modeller
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I intend to orphan the wings3d package due to lack of time. The package description is: Wings 3D is a polygon mesh modeller written entirely in Erlang. The user interface was designed to be easy to use for both beginners and advanced users alike. It was inspired by the famous Nendo modeller (from Izware.) . Unlike similar modelling programs (such as Blender), this program does not provide native support for doing animations (though you can output its models to an animation tool.) . Wings 3D supports the following import formats: Nendo (NDO), 3D Studio (3DS), Wavefront (OBJ), and Adobe Illustrator 8 (AI). . Wings 3D supports the following export formats: Nendo (NDO), 3D Studio (3DS), Wavefront (OBJ), VRML (WRL), Renderman (RIB), Hash:Animation Master (MDL), Renderware (RWX), Yafray, Toxic, and FBX via a third-party plug-in. . Bug#368071: O: yaws -- high performance HTTP 1.1 webserver written in Erlang
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I intend to orphan the yaws package due to lack of time. The package description is: Yaws is a high perfomance HTTP 1.1 webserver written in Erlang. It is a multithreaded webserver where one Erlang light weight process is used to handle each client. Two separate modes of operation are supported. . Standalone mode where Yaws runs as a regular webserver daemon. This is the default mode. . Embedded mode where Yaws runs as an embedded webserver in another Erlang application. . The main advantages of yaws compared to other Web technologies are performance and elegance. The performance comes from the underlying Erlang system and its ability to handle concurrent processes in an efficent way. Its elegance comes from Erlang as well. Web applications don't have to be written in ugly adhoc languages. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-1-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#351821: RFA: freetype -- FreeType 2 font engine, shared library files

Please, be my guest. ;-) I'm not much use as a maintainer at the moment, a situation which will probably continue until May, so taking my name off it is fine. Hopefully in May I can get back to some Debian work and see where things stand. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#351821: RFA: freetype -- FreeType 2 font engine, shared library files
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I request an adopter for the freetype package. Due to a new job I haven't had any time to work on FreeType in the last few months. As such I would like someone to adopt it. A team would probably be best, there's lots of difficult issues with this package and it requires plenty of testing with different fonts and displays. There's a new upstream version likely in the not so distant future. The package description is: The FreeType project is a team of volunteers who develop free, portable and high-quality software solutions for digital typography. They specifically target embedded systems and focus on bringing small, efficient and ubiquitous products. . The FreeType 2 library is their new software font engine. It has been designed to provide the following important features: * A universal and simple API to manage font files * Support for several font formats through loadable modules * High-quality anti-aliasing * High portability & performance . Supported font formats include: * TrueType files (.ttf) and collections (.ttc) * Type 1 font files both in ASCII (.pfa) or binary (.pfb) format * Type 1 Multiple Master fonts. The FreeType 2 API also provides routines to manage design instances easily * Type 1 CID-keyed fonts * OpenType/CFF (.otf) fonts * CFF/Type 2 fonts * Adobe CEF fonts (.cef), used to embed fonts in SVG documents with the Adobe SVG viewer plugin. * Windows FNT/FON bitmap fonts . This package contains the files needed to run programs that use the FreeType 2 library. . Bug#330076: RFA: clisp -- GNU CLISP, a Common Lisp implementation
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I request an adopter for the clisp package. Due to lack of time I am looking for someone to adopt this package. It requires someone competent with Lisp and C. There is quite a bit of assembler and platform specific code, so it is not for the faint of heart. I will be able to give some help to any new maintainer if necessary. Any prospective adopter should probably also adopt libsigsegv-dev which is a build dep of this package, it's very low maintenance however. The package description is: ANSI Common Lisp is a high-level, general-purpose programming language. GNU CLISP is a Common Lisp implementation by Bruno Haible of Karlsruhe University and Michael Stoll of Munich University, both in Germany. It mostly supports the Lisp described in the ANSI Common Lisp standard. It runs on most Unix workstations (GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris, Tru64, HP-UX, BeOS, NeXTstep, IRIX, AIX and others) and on other systems (Windows NT/2000/XP, Windows 95/98/ME) and needs only 4 MB of RAM. . It is Free Software and may be distributed under the terms of GNU GPL, while it is possible to distribute commercial proprietary applications compiled with GNU CLISP. . The user interface comes in English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Russian and Danish, and can be changed at run time. GNU CLISP includes an interpreter, a compiler, a debugger, CLOS, MOP, a foreign language interface, sockets, i18n, fast bignums and more. An X11 interface is available through CLX, Garnet, CLUE/CLIO. GNU CLISP runs Maxima, ACL2 and many other Common Lisp packages. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.11-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#312833: Package dead upstream

Bug#161664: ayam licence problem?
On Sunday 18 Jan 2004 1:57 pm, you wrote: > Hello, > > what is the licence problem you mentioned in your ayam ITP? Is it related > to dependencies? There is some code that is taken from the Affine toolkit (http://www.affine.com) which is non-free. The author of Affine suggested to me a year or more ago that he may be willing to make a release with a DFSG-free license, but that hasn't happened yet. Also there is some code for reading Quickdraw files that seems like it may be dubious, it seems to have no license attached and is (C) Apple. I do not really have the time or desire to package Ayam any more, so I have retitled the ITP.
