Bug#978582: RFP: replaysorery -- Record a video of the last 30s of your screen to save your best gaming moments

2020-12-28 Thread Alberto Fuentes
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

  Version : 0.4.2
Upstream Author : Joshua 'Pip' Minter - https://github.com/matanui159
* URL : https://github.com/matanui159/ReplaySorcery
* License : GPL3.0
  Programming Lang: C
Description : Record a video of the last 30s of your screen to save your
best gaming moments

Emulates nVidia ShadowPlay by constantly recording the screen without using too
many resources. At the press of keycombo, it will save the last 30 seconds

This is useful for saving the best moments of your gaming sessions without
recording everything or maybe being able to record a pesky bug that you cant
trigger or predict

Further info:
There is nothing similar to this in the debian archive and seems a very useful
addition

Bug#852081: Great news!

2017-01-24 Thread alberto fuentes
So many people stepping up. This is great news!

Synergy was in a great need of a new maintainer for a very long time :)

Due to many bugs, Ive been using upstream git without encryption over an
ssh tunnel for a time now.

I will test the new package as soon as is available :)

Bug#777671: RFP: firejail -- SUID sandbox that reduces the risk of security breaches by restricting the running environment of untrusted applications using namespaces

Description : SUID sandbox that reduces the risk of security breaches by

and seccomp-bpf
..
SUID security sandbox program that reduces the risk of security breaches by
restricting the running environment of untrusted applications using namespaces
and seccomp-bpf. It allows a process and all its descendants to have their own
private view of the globally shared kernel resources, such as the network
stack, process table, mount table.
..
Can sandbox any type of processes: servers, graphical applications, and even
user login sessions. Written in C with virtually no dependencies, it should
work on any Linux computer with a 3.x kernel version.

There is no other software that do this in the repos that Im aware of

Description : create a better formatted list in PDF format by reading a
 FOSDEM key list

Key signing is really in need of a program that eases interchange of keys.
KeySigningPartyTools generates a pdf with qr codes and visual hints for the
fingerprints that allows faster processing and avoid manual errors. It
 process
the qr codes afterwards with the help of a webcam as well.

It also automatically checks that the keys scanned match the keys downloaded
 before you sign them.
There already is a signing-party package, would you mind to integrate
 KeySigningPartyTools into it?

 Thanks

 Alex

I can sure look into it if its ok to Thijs...

Any suggestion on how to proceed since the package will have two sources?

raphael hertzog has a tutorial on these multiple source tarballs
thing. I will look into merging these :)

maintainership of signing-party package is actually becoming upstream.
Maybe in a distant future I look into taking it over, but my time now
is scarce now, sorry :/

I don't see any objection, but in fact. I prefer to actually relinquish my
 maintainership of signing-party.

Any suggestion on how to proceed since the package will have two sources?

It's possible to work with multiple source tarballs...
