As mentioned in the vaxis ITP, I'm going through it's dependencies.

I pushed an initial version of the package to the go-team namespace [1].
I can find someone to sponsor it if you're busy. Please feel free to add
yourself as an uploader, or let me know if you want me to do that.

I'll wait a few days/weeks before looking for a sponsor, so there's no
rush to answer this.
