 Can those only be adopted together?  If not, can you retitle this bug
 to O: blas -- A set of building blocks for performing vector and
 matrix operations and file a new bug for O: lapack -- a
 comprehensive set of linear algebra routines.
 
They could be taken separately, but they should probably be merged to one
source package made from the upstream lapack source (which includes the
blas source). Note that the blas source included with lapack is not 100%
the same as the blas source which is distribued on its own (mostly to do
with what files are included then differences within files).

blas is a a library for performing many common vector and matrix
operations. It is used as the basis for other linear algebra packages,
such as lapack.

lapack is a comprehensive set of linear algebra routines, including
matrix inversion, eigen analysis and SVD.
