I know. The package is ready since a lot of weeks, and is available using this 
lines in sources.list:

deb http://darkshines.net/debian unstable konserve
deb-src http://darkshines.net/debian unstable konserve

I have a sponsor who checked it, and says is OK to upload it to debian, but he 
is very busy. I'm also impatient, waiting for the upload, and the OK of the 
ftp-masters, but I don't dare to stress more my sponsor, because he's also a 
friend. 0:-)

If you're impatient, use this lines in your sources.list. I can provide a 
powerpc binary too, if somebody wants it.

  Konserve is an applet that periodically archives backups of files
  or directories.  It is network aware so that backups can be uploaded
