Bug#289973: ITP: didiwiki -- simple WikiWikiWeb implementation with built-in webserver
[Hanna M. Wallach] DidiWiki is a small and simple WikiWikiWeb implementation written in C. It is intended for personal use for notes, Todo's etc. It includes its own webserver. Wiki engines and web servers. That's two for the price of one, in the category things Debian *really* needs more of. Peter -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. What advantages does this have over the other 12 wiki clones we have in the archive? I don't consider having a built-in webserver as an advantage. DidiWiki has the following advantages over the other wikis in the Debian archive: * Written in C so *very* fast. * Very low system requirements, tiny on disk size (~20k stripped). This makes it particularly useful for handhelds etc. * No dependencies, entirely self contained. No need for apache, scripting languages, databases be installed. * DidiWiki is recommended as a personal wiki (for notes, todo lists etc.) *not* for running publically (or as root). In summary, DidiWiki is aimed at those who need a quick, very lightweight wiki for personal notes etc. without wanting to install Apache, PHP, MySQL and suchlike. I don't believe there is another wiki in the Debian archive that satisfies these requirements. -- hanna m. wallach blog: http://join-the-dots.org/ work: http://www.inference.phy.cam.ac.uk/hmw26/
