It's proprietary software, released as binary only, and therefore not suitable for inclusion, even in the non-free section." [/cite] Debian Policy says: "[...] for example, if the source is unavailable. These situations will need to be handled on a case-by-case basis." I suggest to leave this 'case-by-case'-decision up to the ftp-masters. I will take care about the upload of a conforming package. Until my sponsor did an upload, interim versions are available from http://archive.daniel-baumann.ch/. Note that DSFG point 8 says "License must not be specific to Debian", so that's not actually an option. I hope the company behind Skype opens up their licensing, but in the meantime, FOSS-style distribution is not something their license is friendly to.
