- Original message - Hi to all, Why so slow? I see miniupnpc package in Debian NEW for a month: http://ftp-master.debian.org/new.html Ask the ftp-masters that have the job of approving new packages... Their list is big, you can help them if you feel it's slow! It will come to experimental branch. But I need it in Debian Sid in the nearest future. Any progress? I will upload to SID once it's approved by the ftp-masters in experimental! This is good. Ask the ftp-masters that have the job of approving new packages... Yes, I see this. But some packages are waiting solution for 11 months. And it is a bit worrying. Their list is big, you can help them if you feel it's slow! How can I help them? Or how can I affect the speed of reviewing package? Thanks for a quick answers. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Yes, I see this. But some packages are waiting solution for 11 months. And it is a bit worrying. Packages waiting for that much time are problematic, I don't think this will be the case for miniupnpc. Their list is big, you can help them if you feel it's slow! How can I help them? Or how can I affect the speed of reviewing package? Get in touch, and ask, I don't really know. The main work of the ftp-masters is reviewing copyright files, so I guess you could send them reports about packages. Anyway, I think you should just be patient... Bug#444392: Miniupnpc package in our repo
Hi Nanard (and all others), Everyone that sent a mail to this ITP is as copy. I've uploaded to our own repo a version of miniupnpc. The rest of the packages will follow, but I'd like others to have a look first, to make sure that miniupnpc is in good shape. ftp://ftp.gplhost.com/debian/pool/squeeze/main/m/miniupnp/ ftp://ftp.gplhost.com/debian/pool/squeeze/main/m/miniupnp/miniupnpc_1.4.20101221-1.dsc The external-ip app works well over here, so I guess the rest of should be ok too. Maybe Thomas will be able to run more extended tests. Thomas Goirand (zigo) P.S: Sorry for this really long lead time... -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? More visibility for other developers and users, you have some testing time before it gets ouf of NEW queue, and ensuring that the initial upload will be not delayed if you happen to be busy later. -- Eugene V. More visibility for other developers and users, you have some testing time before it gets ouf of NEW queue, and ensuring that the initial upload will be not delayed if you happen to be busy later. The thing is, this package isn't ready yet. I didn't do the necessary depends and build-depends tests for it. So I wouldn't feel comfortable uploading it to Debian just yet. Also, I would like that Thomas Bernard tests the packages first, which he said he would. Thomas -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
