Bug#560861: ITP: systempreferences.app -- GNUstep preferences application

2009-12-14 Thread Gürkan Sengün

Hello

Thanks for packaging this! Don't forget to set/change sections to gnustep!
Will you make this one replace the other preferences.app? If I can help packaging
any simple gnustep debian packages, tell me.

Yours,
Guerkan

Yes, but not with Replaces/Conflicts/etc -- as they're different
applictions, I don't think that's appropriate. We'll simply make the
gnustep metapackage depend on it, so it will be pulled in by default
on most installations.

I don't think we should maintain both prefrences.app and
systempreferences.app, really. Both are a graphical interface to the
defaults tool and have overlapping functionality.

If I can help packaging any simple gnustep debian packages, tell me.

Anything you consider worthwile to package is welcome. I've filed RFP
for fisicalab.app some time ago, but I'll retitle it to ITA as soon as
I finish the more important tasks.
