Bug#564422: O: mathgl - library for scientific graphs

Thus I'm interested to keep matgl, and I would adopt it. But if there is some other interested too, I would also help comaintain it, or if there is a scientific team which want tp maintain it under their umbrella its fine to me too, or collab-maint. I'm Cc'in the debian-science list. I was not aware that MathGL is already in Debian. I'm interested in the software but have used it only every now and then. I was in contact with Alexey (upstream) almost a year ago since they do provide packages for Sid. A look at the source package should that it was already in a good shape and needed only slight improvements. Alexey was open to maintain the Debian package himself via sponsoring. I have no idea if this still holds; I can ask him. Even if not, I suggest to put the package under the Debian Science umbrella. I would offer to co-maintain the package. Ok, if Alexey would not adopt mathgl by himself, then I will inject it in the debian-science team repository (I will try to work on it in the next few days), maintaining it there. I will need a sponsor, since I'm not yet a DD. Bests Salvatore signature.asc Description: Digital signature

If mathgl was in Debian already, we should preserve previous work and history. (I will try to work on it in the next few days), maintaining it there. I will need a sponsor, since I'm not yet a DD. No problem, I can/will take care of that! Please ping me via PM. Best regards Manuel -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble?
