Hi Andreas,

thanks for the review.

This is a mistake: I have no clue on how this file arrived there.
I will wipe it out.

the autotools machinery is revisited:
basically wiping them out allows a clean git-build

and also the AUTHORS and ChangeLog file.

Those files are empty.

  What's the rationale of

Indeed I should comment this; I will do so soon.

In the d/copyright file there is some comment about it.
Basically it replaces a non distributed data file that is used by one of the
sample
C source file. The idea is to keep the examples working.
The missing file is very heavy, obsolete according to the upstream maintainers,
and, not the least, they are very reluctant to put it back.
I will add comment to clarify.

I contacted the people who discussed in the ITP: so I have got no feed back
so far. Note that the RFP is quite old.

I also contacted the upstream team, according to them the code might be
released under GPL3+
soon: this decision must be taken by their hosting University, not by them.

Initially it was an RFP submitted by Christoph Anton Mitterer, and now I am the
ITP owner
(I contacted both of them before to do so).

Bug#596005: Sponsering request for testu01

2015-05-23 Thread Andreas Tille
Hi Jerome,

I had a sponsoring look into testu01. The git Repository contains a
file debian/Debian with zero bytes. What's the purpose of this file?

In debian/copyright you exclude a lot of files including usual automake
files and also the AUTHORS and ChangeLog file. What's the rationale of
this? Would you mind documenting this in debian/README.source? This
might help other team members in case there might be a need to work on
the package.

I'm a bit unsure about the 12MB file debian/adhoc/examples/RandomOrg.bin
May be you also meniton this to get some better understanding why exactly
this is needed, and where to read about its purpose.

In the ITP of this package there was some discussion about the chance
that the code might be released under GPL. Did you contacted upstream
or asked for a status update to those people who discussed in the ITP?
You should contact the ITP owner anyway before we upload the package.

Kind regards

 Andreas.
