I've fixed this with latest push to alioth.

Major thing pending is getting rid of copies of YUI shipped along, to depend
from libjs-yui, if possible.

After some more work with Arthur, I've pushed his git repo for codecoverage to
http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-php/php-codecoverage.git;a=summary (preserving old
brances of Luis in old- branches).

I think it misses a pear package invocation to apply the build.xml
substitutions to the files, from upstream author's git sources.

Feel free to test and report.

Great. Seen your git trees popping up ;-)

Are you sure these are necessary ?

I find ConsoleTools as optional in CodeCoverage's package.xml file :-/

This one seems a required dependency of phpunit, so I'd be interested at
having a look ;)

I think I'll at least have a look at the package, and maybe the
co-maintenance could be done with any of the pkg-php team members, but
I'm not sure of the procedure.

No, i just joined the team last week and start uploading packages this
weekend. Thing is we have 7 new packages instead of just one.

I'm starting from the bottom, packaging php-ezc-base and
php-ezc-consoletools, which are already on pkg-php-team. They are
_almost_ ready (Just a few lintian warnings, i think).

git:
http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-php/php-ezc-base.git;a=summary
http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-php/php-ezc-consoletools.git;a=summary

ITP's:
http://bugs.debian.org/612039
http://bugs.debian.org/612040

I also have the php-timer (not in pkg-php yet) package almost ready.

> May I help here ?

Of course! Did you wanna (co-)maintain one of them? Reviews of the packages
are also useful.

I expect to send an email to pkg-php-team with the status of the other
packages when i'm at home.

Thanks for your help,

I've tried to rebuild it from a git cloned checkout, but it doesn't seem
to be working.

I've done : LANG=C dpkg-buildpackage -us -uc -rfakeroot
 and get :
...
Unknown channel "components.ez.no"
Parsing of package.xml from file "Base-1.8/package.xml" failed
Cannot download non-local package "Base-1.8/package.xml"
install failed
make: *** [install] Error 1

I'm not sure using pear inside a debian/rules is very much advised.

Maybe using a classical get-orig-source and wget would be much safer ?

Hope this helps.

Is there anything blocking either of you from trying and joining the pkg-php
team and eventually share your packaging sources in its git tree (if that plan
suits you of course) ?

May I help here ?

Thanks in advance.

FYI, here's a few ITPs that I've noticed :
 - php-file-iterator (ITP:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=611395)
 - php-text-template (ITP:

 - php-token-stream (ITP :
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=611394)
 - php-timer (ITP : http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=611767)

Hope this helps.

Indeed, it seems that phpunit is no longer maintained, and needs some love.

It seems you guys are interested in it somehow, so maybe it would be great to
have any of you dedicate a bit of work on it. See #607393 for more details and
maybe an adoption offer.

In any case, your efforts are much appreciated.

Best regards,

P.S. : I'm not a DD, just a DM myself, but I'm in a room with some DD that may
be interested ;-)

Hi luis,

a little work after on my debian packages, i need to create a lot of
packages to get phpunit working.
The more i'm using phpunit, the more i get deps errors, i'm actually using the
following tree of dependencies:

- phpunit
  - php-codecoverage
- php-tokenstream
  - php-texttemplate
  - php-timer

Now that i got all those dependencies, everything seems fine

Could you please open some ITP for php-tokenstream, php-texttemplate and
php-timer ?

Thanks !

Bug#610676: One packaging of php-codecoverage

2011-01-28 Thread Luis Uribe
Hi Arthur

On Fri, Jan 28, 2011 at 02:50:47PM +0100, Arthur Gautier wrote:
> let me know if it can help

Sure, do you wanna co-maintain the package? I was doing a package too
but it's better to join forces :)

I just build and install your package but phpunit is still unusable,
here is why:

debian:/tmp# phpunit
PHP Warning: require_once(File/Iterator/Factory.php): failed to open stream:
No such file or directory in /usr/share/php/PHP/CodeCoverage/Filter.php on line
46
PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required
'File/Iterator/Factory.php'
(include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in
/usr/share/php/PHP/CodeCoverage/Filter.php on line 46

I discover that php-codecoverage needs:
* PHP_TokenStream-1.0.1
* File_Iterator-1.2.3
* Text_Template-1.1.0
All of it from phpunit.de pear channel.

Also when i install them using PEAR, it also downloads:
* Base-1.8
* ConsoleTools-1.6.1
From components.ez.no PEAR channel

So we need to package at least the other three packages from phpunit.de.
I ask in ez's irc channel and seems that ConsoleTools and Base are not
needed in order to run PHP_CodeCoverage, but i didn't check it yet. I
expect to do that this weekend. After that i will create the ITPs and
start working.

Thanks for your work!

That's the same for me

i'd just packaged file-iterator and all seems fine for me (i'd just
tested phpunit --version but at least it doesn't give me errors)
