I have finally got a new version of Eterm package closing a bug with the available patch. I have checked that package builds with pbuilder and it upgrades/installs/removes flawlessly in my system. There are some lintian warnings, but I have to read more about debian-policy to be able to fix them. As they are only warnings, I think it is better to upload this version of Etem package to fix the cross build problem. I have read the maintainer guide but it is not clear to me but have I to do to upload the package. I am not a debian developer, so I cannot upload packages to debian archive, so -- which files should I send you ? I think with .changes, .dsc and .debian.tar.xz should be enough -- Should I sign the files with my PGP key ? Thank you for your attention, Jose P.S.: Maybe we can continue solving this noob question by private mail

Bug#620507: eterm: changing from ITA to O
retitle 620507 O: eterm -- Enlightened Terminal Emulator noowner 620507 tag 620507 - pending thanks Hi, A long time ago, you expressed interest in adopting eterm. Unfortunately, it seems that it did not happen. In Debian, we try not to keep ITA bugs open for a too long time, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from adopting the package. This is an automatic email to change the status of eterm from ITA (Intent to Adopt) to O (Orphaned), as this bug hasn't seen any activity during the last 12 months. If you are still interested in adopting eterm, please send a mail towith: retitle 620507 ITA: eterm -- Enlightened Terminal Emulator owner 620507 ! thanks It is also a good idea to document your progress on this ITA from time to time, by mailing <620...@bugs.debian.org>. If you need guidance on how to adopt this package, please reply to this email, and/or contact the debian-ment...@lists.debian.org mailing list. Thank you for your interest in Debian, -- Lucas, for the QA team
Bug#620507: ITA: eterm -- Enlightened Terminal Emulator
Hi, I am still working in this package. I have checked the last source code and it has not changed since the last time the package has been build. In my system the package build without problems. I am checking the bugs reported to Eterm, specially the older ones to know whether the bug is still present in the last version. I am trying to make the package lintian clean and reading about Debian Policy to follow the last version. As the freezing date is very close and the source code is the same I think it is not worth to upload a new version just to change the maintainer field and the aesthetic changes I am doing up to now. I think it is better to try to fix more important bugs and to have more time to test the changes, so I will try to send a new version of this package when Jessie is released. retitle 620507 ITA: eterm -- Enlightened Terminal Emulator owner 620507 ! thanks Hi, I like eterm and I am still using it. Also, I would like to be more involved with Debian so I think it is a good idea to adopt this package to learn how the package system is working before to help in bigger packages. I will review the bugs related to eterm and I will try to have a new version of the package during this Summer before the freeze. Hi!
