Re: Bug#673322: Packaging Open Sankoré for Debian/Ubuntu
Dear developpers, I'm looking for some informations about the packaging of Open-Sankoré in Debian. It would be great to have a package for Wheezy, and to have it in Jessie. :-) The release team announced a freeze for the 5th of november 2014, so there isn't so much time. :-) We are several teachers here in France who can test, report and fill bugs. What are your plans for version 2.2.3. I wasn't able to compile it with the scripts present on GitHub (https://github.com/Sankore/Sankore-3.1/) Are you aware of the changes in upstream developpement team ? Are you able to work smoothly with upstream ? A 2.4 release is planned for february. Perhaps I could help work to be easier with upstream as there are some relations beetwen "CRDP de Versailles" and upstream developpement. For the moment, version 2.2.3 has some important new features and it would be great if we could use it in Wheezy. -- Cheers, Louis-Maurice De Sousa -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Thanks :) All is left is to review debian/copyright so that includes all the copyrights, specially all those from third parties... sigh :) If any of you test in your computers the packages in git, please tell me if there are any issues. It should compile in squeeze too (I haven't upgraded compat to 9 yet because of that, and I added the patch needed for backwards compatibility with squeeze). Bug#673322: Packaging Open Sankoré for Debian/Ubuntu
Hi, It seems that Open-Sankoré has been relicensed to GPL v3 [1]. I'll still have to carefully go through the license, but it seems that the SSL exception is in all of the headers. I'll try to create a newer version of the package (older one I have them in [2], and even older in [3]), and if it works okay for me and is stable enough I might consider finally uploading it to Debian, aftyer re-checking licenses again.
