I have produced something very close to a working package. Unfortunately the server doesn't yet work. I'm using apache2 from: deb http://kabuki.sfarc.net/apache2 ./ deb http://pandora.debian.org/~thom/apache2 ./ The updated Berkeley db packages (Bug #109853) I am using are at : http://people.debian.org/~dwhedon/debian/ as well as the most recent subversion packages. I have been working with upstream to remove some oddities in the build system as well. -David

Any progress on this? I just read Subversion has reached the self-hosting stage and some bugs move bugs have been ironed out. According to the progress page, an alpha should be available within a month... has anyone of you produced something that can be called a working package? It should be equivivalent if you just close and reopen the bug with youself as originator. No need for us to change titles, this is allready in the BTS and should serve as documentation if needed. -- Når folk spørger mig, om jeg er nørd, bliver jeg altid ilde til mode og svarer lidt undskyldende: "Nej, jeg bruger RedHat". -- Allan Olesen på dk.edb.system.unix

I've got time at the moment so I'd be happy to work on this. If you change it to RFP I'll come along and change it back to ITP, I think that is the easiest way of doing it, or maybe just an e-mail to the BTS saying that I'm ITP'ing it. -David

There is some problems with co-existing with the libneon15 package all ready available in Debian and for full support for Subversion we need a newer libdb3. These problems takes longer time to solve the right way. Time I dont have so I'm actually about to retrackt the ITP. If you want to package subversion please do otherwise I will just retrack the ITP on debian-devel. -- Når folk spørger mig, om jeg er nørd, bliver jeg altid ilde til mode og svarer lidt undskyldende: "Nej, jeg bruger RedHat". -- Allan Olesen på dk.edb.system.unix

Hi, I'd like to play with subversion too. I don't want to step on any toes, or repeat work though. I'm happy to help out however I can. Do you have any preliminary pacakging done? -David

We're going to try to be self-hosting for the next milestone, which will hopefully be in the near future. Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist I plan to package Subversion http://subversion.tigris.org> The goal of subversion is to build a version control system that could replace cvs. It will have all the features of CVS and rename of files and directories, permisions and other meta information and symbolic links. A lot of other features is mentioned on the above website. Subversion is licensed under an Apache/BSD-style license. I havn't tried it yet. But if it keeps half it's promises it's worth tho work. I can't find it in the archive or at the wnpp bug page. So it shouldn't be ITP'ed yet. -- hash-bang-slash-bin-slash-bash
