Debian WWW CVS: Modified Makefile so card.* are only valid for english websites since two translaters blindly copied the english Makefile and broke the build. *sigh* Makefiles should be language-independent, so they more easily can be copied from the English directory (if you use copypage.pl, the Makefile is copied automatically for you). However, I do have automatic builds set up every night, so I get any error messages by mail in the morning (for the Swedish translation, that is), and act upon it. 'cannot open directory' messages from CVS
A number of old directories have been deleted from CVS over the last while. Since CVS is not intelligent enough to deal with this cleanly, you may be getting messages such as the following: cvs server: cannot open directory /cvs/webwml/webwml/german/template: No such file or directory In this case, simple remove the directory (and its contents). The following directories are ones that I know have been deleted: webwml/*/2.0 webwml/*/SPI webwml/*/template webwml/english/international/chinese -- James (Jay) Treacy [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I have just done 'make sitemap.es.html' in the spanish dir and I've
found that it (mostly) works ok. There do appear to be some problems, mainly
due to translators not translating correctly wml headers (for example in the
spanish Bugs/ wml files) and due to pages not being translated.
Maybe we should add some kind of tag so that unstranslated pages are
marked as such and the user does not get confused by mixed languages (both
the original one and the translated version)...

Hi, in devel/website/translating.wml, the ``overview'' id is set via h3 name=overviewOverview .../h3 instead of traditional h3a name=overviewOverview ... /a/h3 This link does not work with all browsers, so i wonder whether this is intentional? Denis
