Bug#202015: Package search for "g++" broken for second and subsequent result pages

2003-07-18 Thread Robert Fleming

Package: www.debian.org

Searching for packages containing files like "g++", the "+" characters
are properly encoded (by the web browser) in the "word" parameter in the
URL by the search form at http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages as follows:

   search_contents.pl?word=g%2B%2B ...

but the links for subsequent search result pages look like:

   search_contents.pl?page=2&word=g++ ...

where "g++" should be "g%2B%2B".

Clicking on these links results in this error:

Error: "g " is not a valid search request

Sorry if this bug hasn't already posted. I only searched the bug list
for keywords but did not read the whole page.

Bulgarian translation

2003-07-18 Thread list
Hi.

I fixed a HTML error in the bulgarian templates.bg.po file. But the
bulgarian pages seems not to be build automatically at the moment.
Can someone with access to the server at least build them by hand as
this would fix a HTML error in every translated page.

(I recall that there was a reason why these pages aren't included in
the main Makefile but I'm too tired atm to search the mails.)

Sure, having a different script does not really matter.

The script parsing these description files could ignore #-lines,
we could then add a regular #use wml::debian::translation-check
header. This line will be parsed by your script until
check_trans.pl can take care of it.

The thing was that I put inside the swedish subdirectory because I
couldn't find a way to integrate it into the main chek_trans.pl script,
but I never got around trying to integrate them. The problem is that
the translated versions for the mailing list descriptions cannot be
stored inside the files themselves (since there is no space for
comments), so it uses an external file.

First heard about it. Can we maybe put this in the root directory, so
people will notice it? I seems to be really helpful.

 So long,
Alfie [who was thinking about doing such a script himself and now is
   glad he didn't]

The current infrastructure for news listings only allows for linking to
actual news pages, there's no way to specify "external" news items. So
you either have to write a "trampoline" page that takes you further on
to the item, or patch the scripts... :)

Feel free to just call the script in the swedish/MailingLists/desc
directory, it should be quite language-agnostic (it reads the
language.conf file).
