Hi Martin,

unfortunately, I'm unable to find this bug for more information. Are you
sure this is the correct bugnumber? I used http://bugs.debian.org/34701,
which I would imagine should be the bug's URL.

Cheers,

host the solution. Would you set that up for me?

Please coordinate this with the debbugs mailing list/the

This section of the content-negotiation page describes setting the
acceptable languages in firefox. It tells to find the preferences
window at edit - preferences, but I've seen on some windows machine
somewhere that the preferences box is found by going tools - options
on that platform. It may be worth using separate OS sections here, as I
see for other browsers (i.e. I.E.), perhaps after verifying this and the
 macos behavior.

I took alook at the Windows version today at work and it is located at
Extras - Preferences there, so I documented this on the page now.
I tried to install it on my Powerbook under MacOS X, too, but it is
constantly crashing ...

So as it die debian-www related, I think here is the right place to
discuss. Or must I file a bug against the Web page first?

Ok, some comments and questions on that issue:

First of all, this looks nice and promising to me. Could be useful to have.
Although I really don't like the page layout, but that's an secondary
issue (more details on this opinion on request).

The older project whith the same goals obviously never reached anything
other than the planning state ...

Q: Could you explain a bit how you do create these pages?
This is actually the important question to judge how and wether to
include it in the webpages.

Q: How do you like you this to be integrated in the webpages?
There are at least two distinct methods:
1) putting the code directly into the webpages' CVS and generate
them together with the pages.
2) putting the code into the DDP's CVS and include the generated
pages from there. IMHO this would be usefull if you want to have
different output formats and/or distribution methods (e.g. as debian
package)

packages.debian.org

2004-09-27 Thread Kevin Price

Hi,

I have two suggestions to make about improving packages.debian.org. I find
myself using it quite much, and it is very well done. I really missed it in the
time after the attack last year. Thanks for getting it back up.

1. In every binary package page the dependencies are listed as
depends
recommended
suggested

What is this time warp for? I suggest to use consistent grammar and change
them all to simple present.

2. From http://packages.debian.org/src:hello I get a nice page including all
distributions and the sources. But the links to the binaries lead only to some
intermediate page, where the link might point directly to the goal.

Thanks for your attention. brgds
  Kevin
