RSS on w.d.o/security/index.en.html

2004-12-24 Thread Denis Barbier
Hi,

http://www.debian.org/security/index.en.html looks pretty bad with lynx
because RSS feeds have long titles, can they be shortened?

There is also something strange on
  http://www.debian.org/security/dsa-long.en.rdf
the description about dsa-614 is not identical to what is found in
dsa-614.wml, and AFAICT it can not have been generated from any version
of this file in CVS.

For now we
useDebian in our production environment onlyon our web server that
hosts our web site, mail, DNS, groupware, CMS... It also hosts a few personal
web sites of our employees. We have chosen Debian because it has marvellous
pacakage management system, is relatively easy to install, very stable and
completely free. Debian is distribution of our choice when it comes to Linux
also in our testing environment where wetry to find and test
solutionsfor ourIT needs.

Hello, I first send the message below to debian-doc and only now realize
that is not really the correct list for this minor issue.

Cheers,

On the page http://www.nl.debian.org/social_contract, the link to the
Open Source Definition has changed:

Current link:
http://www.opensource.org/osd.html

New link location:
http://www.opensource.org/docs/definition_plain.html

Hmmm. At the bottom of the page there is another link to an annotated
version of the OSD (which is correct):
http://www.opensource.org/docs/definition.php

Isn't it somewhat confusing to have two different links to what appears to
be the same document on one page?

Yes, although the first link now redirects to the second. I have changed
it in the cvs, just in case they remove osd.html.

Yes. AFAICT, definition.php also has 3rd party notes which enhances the
comprehension of the text. I'd suggest to leave the bottom link just the
way it is.
