Package: www.debian.org
Severity: important

Dear webmasters,

I'm pleased with packages.d.o is back online!

But it causes mojibake by charset mismatch so we cannot read it without
 changing to correct charset.
 (mojibake: http://www.debian.or.jp/~kubota/mojibake/)

For example, Japanese page must be in iso-2022-jp charset but it says that
contents with "UTF-8". (and Its Japanease pages content in EUC-JP charset.
for histrical reason, three major charset are used in Japan. Many UNIX
releated things are in EUC-JP (Windows and Macintosh are Shift-JIS),
but Debian's Japanease Lang web page is in iso-2022-jp charset. SO,
EUC-JP contents must be changed to iso-2022-jp for web pages.)

 Could you check it, please?

Indeed, it's not valid. I also noticed that there are still a few tidy
issues outside my scope (http://people.debian.org/~alfie/tidy/en)
especially in www.debian.org/devel/people.en.html and in the
international/l10n/ pages.

CSS Validation error

2006-09-02 Thread Torquil Macdonald Sørensen
Hello,

There is a "Valid CSS" image on http://www.debian.org, but the CSS doesn't
seem to be valid according to the CSS validator at w3.org.

Best regards,

Hi Eriberto,

I've added your book to the list on the Debian webpages. Thanks for your
contribution.

Tobias

Without Languages= line in kio_httprc, Konqueror sends
"AcceptLanguage=fr, en" (it must be: ", en").

If it instists to send "en", it should at least send a rating, for
instance "fr, en;q=0.5"?

Ah. I said I should have gone to bed earlier ;o)

Hmmm. Mirroring propagation time?

Does anyone know (for sure) a web site doing the same language
negotiation as w.d.o?

Yep, for me too. Does this mean the problem is fixed now for everyone
and every server? I will update
http://www.de.debian.org/intro/cn#konqueror to reflect this.

I still get English pages without a Languages= line at all. But I think
KDE should deliver the single default language in this case. Only if
multiple languages are requested ~/.kde/share/config/kio_httprc needs to
be modified!?

The poster is me :-)

In the past I was able to reproduce it only with the German mirror,
later I noticed the problem also in other mirrors and now it vanished!?

I assumed it also depends on the web server which the Debian project
cannot dictate on mirrors.

Can other users please test konqueror?
