Debian 7.1, x86 Machines i386 does need PAE? Thanks!

2013-08-07 Thread guido mezzalana
Good morning!

I hope this email find all Debian team fine:)

Pleasse, because I am by a internet package with 5 GB per month, before to
download Debian 7.1 which is more en 3.5 GB, I would greatly appreciate if you
can tell me if this version does need PAE!

I do have a quite old Thinkpad T60 2400 with 2 GB ram.

Then, because I watch movies online e.g. stagevu.com, does this version come
with codecs I need to view DivX? If not, what I do have to install?

Thanks and I eagerly await your response.

Cordially,

Guido Mezzalana

Getting Error 912 when creating an account

2013-08-07 Thread Samuel Henrique
Everytime I try to create an account, I receive this message:
Account creation failed: Error 912: please contact
debian-www@lists.debian.org for help if this continues.

I've seen in other mails that this error may be a false positive from the
anti-spam system, is this my case?

Can someone fix this for me?

Hi Samuel,

Yes, you've guessed correctly. I've just whitelisted you now so things
should work OK if you try again.

cannot seem to reset or change debian-wiki acount

2013-08-07 Thread Bill Julian
I realized I had forgotten my wiki password. You sent a token. I thought
I used it correctly to reset my password. If I try to login my login is
rejected.

I decided to simply set up a new account. That also did not work.

I would prefer to have a password on the wiki. So what do I do?

Hmmm. From looking at your existing account data (BillJulian), I can
see that your account has been updated and AFAICS it looks like there
is an updated password there. Maybe you made a typo in the new
password dialogue?

I decided to simply set up a new account. That also did not work.

Apologies - you were caught up as a false positive in the anti-spam
system we're using on new account creation.

I would prefer to have a password on the wiki. So what do I do?

Easiest thing is probably for me to simply give you a new
password. I'll do that now and (separately) send it to you by email so
you can log in and change password again.

I propose a format change on the events index page, replace the monospaced
[December 2nd - 4th] date with something like December 2nd-4th with
a normal font.

The first link in the last paragraph here looks to have been abandoned:

http://www.debian.org/events/admin

I think this page needs some pings and updates:

Ok, I reworked the admin and checklist pages to close #650378. I will not
fix #645720 - should I close it wontfix? Regarding #601337 my solution
would be to move events/talks and events/speakers to the wiki, which would
mostly also close #650378.

I will eventuelly do that if there are no objections.
