I wasn't talking about moving the existing list to the website, just
adding a link to the existing list on d.o/distrib. The existing list
is maintained reasonably well by the various folks who edit the wiki.

Maybe Simon thinks, we have not the manpower for maintaining such
list.
See my answer related CD vendors on this list some days ago.
Noone commented on that. So, we are already lacking manpower for
maintaining already existing lists.
Why add another one? To have it outdated soon, because noone cares 
about it? It would need constant care, to remove services which are
no more available and so on.

Could you explain your reasons here? Seems perfectly reasonable to
mention hosted/managed/virtual Debian systems on d.o/distrib since it
is a way people can be "Getting Debian".

convinced.
In any case, I doubt anyone in the www team will volunteer to maintain a list
of hosters.

Fill http://wiki.debian.org/DebianHosting it's in the first results when
searching for "debian hosting".
