Thanks for reporting. It has been fixed, but the rebuild of the web

Usually, the way to fix such errors is via filing a bug report against
the relevant package, since the information comes from the package.

However, in this case it's not worth any effort, because that package
has been removed from unstable and testing.

Thanks for reporting anyway

Could you explain in more detail what you mean? I wasn't able to
understand entirely, but it seems you are talking about this page,
which only seems to contain one (English) instance of the word
"Firstblood". Do you mean that the Korean text in the Author field is
incorrect for Firstblood? If so, please contact the Korean translation

2018-04-14 Thread Boyuan Yang
Hi,

Strictly speaking, it is not a typo. Please see also
https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/pkgs.html#upload-bugfix
,

"Technically speaking, the following Perl regular expression describes how
bug closing changelogs are identified:

/closes:\s*(?:bug)?\#\s*\d+(?:,\s*(?:bug)?\#\s*\d+)*/ig

We prefer the closes: #XXX syntax, as it is the most concise entry and the
easiest to integrate with the text of the changelog."

Surely it might be better if we unify the grammar used on the same page.

2016-10-08 Thread Salvatore Bonaccorso
Hi

It's actually not a typo, but we might have better used a wording like
2:3.23-1 or earlier versions. In fact it is that the jessie-security
upload fixes the mentioned issues in the 2:3.26-1+debu8u1. But for
unstable fixes were included in versions 2:3.19.1-1, 2:3.20.1-1,
2:3.21-1 or 2:3.23-1.

Hi Paul and list guys,

I almost forgot about this issue. I was busy in other things in real life and
other projects.

Meanwhile, I contacted one active DD who is Korean and seems active[1], and his
response was basically same - to contact l10n list which someone with access to
website might subscribed. He also said the page was out of date so minor typo
fix seems useless, so I think I will submit a patch with update. What I want to
know is, where is the source code so I can do the translation? (I will submit
patch to debian-l10n-ko@list so if there is someone with commit access then he
will see the patch and apply it)

[1]: He's cwryu@debian if it matters.

ps. I'm not subscribed to the list, so please include me in the CC.

It is important to have active, co-ordinated, responsive and effective
translation teams. In my opinion, if a translation team is unresponsive

You are right, sorry. The problem is that it could be that nobody here

As a side effect that also might help to find out what else is not

eventually to fix that as well...

I would only call "OS's" a style-guide-standardisation issue rather
than a matter of right and wrong - check how it's done on other pages.

Most manuals (such as the Chicago Manual of Style) recommend not
inserting an apostrophe in words like this ("OSs", "GUIs", "1990s"),
but the spellings with apostrophes are nonetheless widely accepted in
everyday writing.

I've never seen a style guide say anything useful about the secondary
question of "OSs" versus "OSes", but the latter option would imply
that the plural of "386" is "386es", which strikes me as unlikely.
And I would also say "CCing"!

It just says that EEST equals to UTC +0300 which is true. In English

I'm not sure that this is wrong. Please note that the original English
document mentions 11 o'clock CEST, UCT +0200, which is probably indeed
12 o'clock in the eastern Finland. Adding one hour timeshift should

I think you're right. I read the voting thread and it seems that a few
persons tried to verify the result. I failed and could only verify the
number "20":

$ cat results | awk ' { brandon=substr($1,1,1); anand=substr($1,2,1); \

Hi Roberto,

I'm unable to find the source for java-policy in the Debian
Documentation Project CVS but I fixed this typo once in
www.debian.org/News/weekly/2001/23/index.en.html.

It seems to me that
http://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/java-policy/ refers to the
documentation of the package java-common which is linked to from the web
server.

According to the policy I added debian-java@lists.debian.org to CC:

I don't think this a typo, look at

That's not typo. Debian's autobuilders are very often called buildd.
Take a look at http://buildd.debian.org/.
Buildd is abbreviation of build daemon.

Sorry, my MUA sent the message too soon. Here's the rest of my message.

The French version reads :

Les versions sont enregistrées sous leur nom de code dans le répertoire
dists/.

  * potato est la Debian 2.1
  * slink est la Debian 2.1

There's a stupid typo...potato should read Debian 2.2.

The title of the DSA pages is taken from a different part than the
entry in the DWN -- one is from the subject and the other from the
synopsis.

Thank you.

I had simply compared them with the title of DSA pages linked
from the list.

I do not know why that is not same as a title of those pages
specially, but now I can understand that "Buffer overflow" is
correct for DSA-505. And also, I found similar cases in the
past Weekly Newses.

Thanks.

The CVE advisory says

Heap-based buffer overflow in CVS 1.11.x up to 1.11.15, and
1.12.x up to 1.12.7, when using the pserver mechanism allows
remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via Entry lines.

so I think both descriptions are correct.

Of course it should.
All these 382-3 and 383-2 numbers.
I thought I got them all right in the end.
Thanks for pointing it out.

These pages are generated automatically from the corresponding package
descriptions. A bug is already open about this problem
(http://bugs.debian.org/191619), but if you find similar problems please
report them as bugs against the packages in question following the
directions at http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting.

This has been reported in Bug #191619.

According to my dictionary¹, "Belorussian" or "Byelorussian" are proper
spellings.

But then again, Google seems to prefer "Belarusian" to either of the
two in my dictionary...

According to

"Belarusian" is the correct English spelling.

This is a sentence in the package's description. Please file a bug
against firebird-utils (http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting).

Thanks for reporting this! It's fixed in CVS and should be online in a
