It's been added to the list, it will show up on the next mirror pulse.

Yes, it seems to play a key role in the project. Quoting the author of
the page, Erich Schubert (I hope that he doesn't mind):

"The data [from the Web site] is stored in a MySQL Database and exported
once a day to a
plaintext file that can be read by debtags, tagcoll and
synatics-debtags.

"The information should be stored in the package files, but the package
browser is a prototype right now.
Please check the deb-usability project at alioth, all information is
collected there (especially do check the mailing list archives)

"We need people interested in doing a proper tag hierarchy and policies
for starting the real tagging work (which could then be included in the
package files), but this needs a lot of time. (See the mails to the
mailing list for references to the trove and demram hierarchies)"

Is it meant to become a part of the project at some time?

What kind of priority should it have?

I guess it would rather speed it up if you can provide the .wml file
to put into webwml/english/devel/todo/items/ best. See the other files
in there[1] as a reference.

 So long,

On second thought, should I file this in the BTS instead?

Suggestion for To-Do List Page

2004-01-12 Thread Alexander Winston
Currently, on , we have a list of
things to be done that users and developers can work on, though some are
fairly limited to developers. I propose adding
 and especially
 as
things that can be assisted with by ordinary users or folks that do not
have official Debian developer status yet.
