Not so far as I know. I don't think anyone has written m68k-aware brains for XFree86's module loader. Someone who has written an object loader for any m68k-based Unix should be up to the task. Well how about that. Increasing it to 32MB actually worked. I guess its because I'm using such a high resolution, but still, that's quite a lot. Thanks for the tip! But why do I have ONE good looking session, and afterwards a totally screwed one? On Sun, 5 Aug 2001, Christopher B. Re: xfree4.1.0 and kde
no, this didn't help :( I'm going to reinstall my whole system now because a few months ago, i installed xfree86.org binaries instead of debs..i was using potato then.(same fonts problems) so i downgraded to 4.0.3 and it was fine again...then I upgraded to woody, and no single problem, a few weeks later, i decided to do sid: no problems at all until... xfree4.1.0 was released and i _had_ to install it. No use to try downgrading anymore, everything relied on those new packages :( On Sun, 5 Aug 2001, Tad Thurston wrote: > On Mon, Aug 06, 2001 at 02:54:47AM +0200, hdcool wrote: > > > I also tried windowmaker and it gave me the same result > > so it has to be an xfree problem > > > > -- Forwarded message -- > > Date: Mon, 6 Aug 2001 01:28:40 +0200 (CEST) > > From: hdcool <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > To: debian-kde@lists.debian.org > > Subject: xfree4.1.0 and kde > > > > > > en closure, i add an url to see the screenshots: > > this is after I just added user foo and started x with him: > > > > http://www.cluesoft.be/cluesoft/first_session.png > > > > and this is the one after I restarted X, all of the sudden, i have > > a background, I have, ugly fonts in the taskbar+menu and hidious fonts > > in konsole > > > > http://www.cluesoft.be/cluesoft/session_after_restart.png > > > > Thanks in advance, > > > > hdcool > > You might need to add the line > > dir "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType" at the top of the > /etc/X11/XftConfig file, especially if you have installed any TrueType > fonts.
