No, but I do get a couple of Warn: No GLXFBConfig for depth 32 lines
 every time a run it.
I tried to reduce the depth to 24, but it seems that neither radeon nor
 intel driver support that.

Reduce to 24 from what? I don't think either driver supports depths
higher than 24.

If OTOH you're running in depth 16, that might explain at least some of
the symptoms.

If you still can't get the X server up in depth 24 or if that doesn't
solve the problem, please provide the full xorg.conf and corresponding
Xorg.0.log files and the output of

LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1 glxinfo

I don't know what does this warning mean, I assumed it has something to
do with framebuffer and a simple grep reveals this:

 (==) intel(0): Depth 24, (==) framebuffer bpp 32
 (**) RADEON(0): Depth 24, (--) framebuffer bpp 32

 so I tried putting:
  DefaultFbBpp 24
in xorg.conf but that didn't work.

Yeah that's expected, and the GLXFBConfig warning isn't directly
related.

I have to admit I'm stumped by this. :( You didn't attach the xorg.conf
files, but I don't expect an explanation there either (I noticed that in
the radeon case you're using Option BackingStore, which is usually
undesirable, but probably not directly related to this problem either).

After upgrading X, the mouse is no longer working. I have a laptop
with a USB-connected Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo. The
keyboard still works, but the mouse does not. Are there any
configuration changes necessary?

The keyboard and Synaptics touchpad of the laptop both work, but the
trackpoint does not. (I am almost certain the trackpoint used to work,
but not sure since I don't use it that much.)

Bug#498673: xserver-xorg-video-intel: 3D acceleration is very slow in absence of heavy load on the CPU

2008-09-13 Thread Brice Goglin
Subhashis Roy wrote:
When I run `glxgears' I find that on Full screen mode (1280x1024) the
Frame Per Second (FPS) becomes pretty slow. The display is not smooth and
 FPS is ~18.
My Video chip is intel Q35.

Given that I used to get ~80 FPS with a slower machine (Intel core 2
duo 2.4 GHz) than the present (Intel Core 2 duo 3.0 GHz (E8400)) made me
think something is wrong with the Acceleration mechanism for this chip.
However, I figured out that when I am running something heavy (e.g.
`burnP6', which is part of 'cpuburn' to put heavy load on 1 of the CPU) I
get a much smoother display with FPS of ~180 (factor of 10 increase!).

Beware that glxgears is not a benchmark.

Which libgl1-mesa-dri are you using? Can you try the one from experimental ?

After about a day of uptime, the X server suddenly crashed; xdm tried

The machine is a Thinkpad T60 with Intel integrated graphics.

Here is the xdm.log.1 file, which contains the X server error message

think I can reproduce the error as I've not seen it happen any other
time.

Please hint to unblock xorg-docs 1:1.4-3 (clarification)

2008-09-13 Thread Osamu Aoki
Hi,

Please add unblock hint to xorg-docs 1.4-3.

It fixes bug http://bugs.debian.org/498721 by adding symlink and leads
people from /usr/share/doc/xorg-docs to the actual documentation. No
other changes thus should be OK to be hinted for inclusion.

This should help many uses for looking for key documentation.

I know it is not perfect fix which requires its maintainer to create
debian/xorg-docs.doc-base file as documentaed in dh_installdocs(1).

But this fix certainly closes major gap.

Osamu

¿Cual es la resolución 19? Y ¿Que acciones realizó este ex-bibliotecario?
