Bug#534541: xserver-xorg-core: upgrade from 2:1.6.1.901-2 to 2:1.6.1.901-3 breaks DRI with UXA
Package: xserver-xorg-core Version: 2:1.6.1.901-3 Severity: normal Window content drawn trough OpenGL remains invisible when AccelMethod is UXA. Default EXA works, albeit with inferior performance, probably due to its using DRI, not DRI2. -- Package-specific info: /var/lib/x11/X.roster does not exist. /var/lib/x11/X.md5sum does not exist. En/na dmanye ha escrit: hello, i've done some tests and in *all* cases the machines boot successfully the X server. but there are cases where it fails: sometimes when going from console mode to graphics mode the machine completely freezes; sometimes it is enough to logout the X session and gdm freezes. i saw that all 30 machines in the lab had the same hardware but it is not true: most of them are Intel Corporation 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device rev 1, and some of them (the ones that usually fail) are the same but rev 3 instead of rev 1. so our plan now is stay with lenny next course (september to june) and throw the rev 3 machines to /dev/null ;-) so if you want to close this bug, feel free to do it since we are not going to use the problematic graphic cards. but if you prefer to keep it open and tell me what you want me to test i'll try to find some spare time. thanks. ps: there is some additional info related to this in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17713 oops! with recent versions i mean: kernel 2.6.30 xorg 1.6.1.901 (1.6.2 rc1) intel driver 2.7.1 bye. begin:vcard fn;quoted-printable:david many=C3=A9 n;quoted-printable:many=C3=A9;david org;quoted-printable:Universitat Rovira i Virgili;Departament d'Enginyeria Inform=C3=A0tica i Matem=C3=A0tiques adr;quoted-printable;dom:;;Av. dels Pa=C3=AFsos Catalans, 26;Tarragona;;43007 email;internet:dma...@urv.cat tel;work:977559706 version:2.1 end:vcard

Bug#534487: RE : xserver-xorg-core crashes after upgrade to version (1.6.1.901-3)
Hello I am using lxde and I have almost the same problem except that I don't need to press anything to make it happend. I have also an intel graphic card (i915 chipset) (Dell Latitude 630) and KMS enabled on kernel 2.6.30-1. I noticed that at the beginning, the mouse works then the desktop get displayed but not the icons and not all the icons of the taskbar, the the mouse pointer disapears and the keyboard doesn't work either, except the magic keys. Downgrading to 1.6.1.901-2 also solved the problem. xfonts-scalable override disparity
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the override file for the following file(s): xfonts-scalable_1.0.0-7_all.deb: package says section is x11, override says fonts. Please note that a list of new sections were recently added to the archive: cli-mono, database, debug, fonts, gnu-r, gnustep, haskell, httpd, java, kernel, lisp, localization, ocaml, php, ruby, vcs, video, xfce, zope. At this time a script was used to reclassify packages into these sections. If this is the case, please only reply to this email if the new section is inappropriate, otherwise please update your package at the next upload. Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why. Please INCLUDE the list of packages as seen above, or we won't be able to deal with your mail due to missing information. [NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you replied to one like it before and have not received a response yet, please ignore this mail.
