Bug#714737: Re: Bug#714737: [glw] please transition from lesstif2 to motif
Hi On 02-07-13 18:28, Julien Cristau wrote: > On Tue, Jul 2, 2013 at 12:56:33 +0200, Graham Inggs wrote: >> Please update your package to build against the motif package >> instead. >> > I think motif should provide a transitional lesstif2-dev package > instead, if it's deemed safe to do so. The earth has turned a few times since and most packages have been updated to build depend on libmotif-dev [1,2]. So I think from the Debian archive perspective, the transitional package is not needed. We (Graham and I) also dislike the idea, we rather have people being aware of the change, i.e. they should notice that they are using a different implementation of the library. Could you reconsider your request of a transitional package and migrate glw to build-depend on libmotif-dev? If not, we would be adding the transitional package only for glw (and maybe sqsh), which sounds slightly overdone to me. If you rather have it, I can do the transition in a NMU. Of course, if you have good argument why you believe it is still better to provide the transitional package, I would like to hear them. Bug#724944: [Intel-gfx] Patch for crashing intel server

Indeed, that scuppers my theory about it being an allocation failure to GEM space exhaustion. I am not sure what else to suggest to explain why it spontaneously fails to allocate that BO. You could try drm.debug=7, but searching for the failure would be like hunting for a needle in a haystack - and I'm not sure if we give any information as to how it fails, nor does libdrm_intel have any such debug. You can try disabling the uxa BO cache with Option "BufferCache" "false" and seeing if that makes any difference. -Chris -- Chris Wilson, Intel Open Source Technology Centre -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-x-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
