Bug#738095: marked as done (xserver-xorg-video-ati: no 2D acceleration because of missing glamor)

The source builds just fine if one fetches it from upstream git repos. But maybe it doesn't build because there is no debian package of glamor even though the source is sitting in git? Who knows? Asking maintainers doesn't help because nobody seems to give a f*ck and answers mails. Or is this a ubuntu-only party now? Other bug reports (against -radeon) got no answers but rude comments and left (reporting) users in the rain. This change makes debian even more unusable if one happens to have a recent radeon card. I would be happy if somebody could *explain* how to solve that situation. regards, frank -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.13.1-tahiti+1 (SMP w/8 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Version: 1:7.3.0-2 On Fri, Feb 7, 2014 at 19:07:50 +0100, Frank Zacharias wrote: > Source: xserver-xorg-video-ati > Severity: important > > Dear Maintainer, > > the release message for 7.3.0 states: > > --- > xserver-xorg-video-ati (1:7.3.0-1) unstable; urgency=low > > * New upstream release. > * Explicitly disable glamor for now to prevent a FTBFS. > --- Now enabled in experimental. Bug#751769: libxp: run dh-autoreconf to update config.{sub, guess} and {libtool, aclocal}.m4
Package: libxp Version: 1.0.2-1 Severity: normal Tags: patch Currently, the patch libxp fails to build on the new architecture (as ppc64el) due to outdated autotool files, which cause the following problem on ppc64el: http://ftp.unicamp.br/pub/ppc64el/debian/buildd-upstream/build_logs/logs/libxp_1.0.2-1_ppc64el-20140501-0452.build This bug provides a patch that call dh_autoreconf to update the missing parts, according to [1] recommendations. Bug#751757: xterm crashes when installing libreoffice with LANG=C
Package: xterm Version: 278-4 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, some days ago I installed Debian 7.5, installed the xfce4 environment and decided to use C as system language because it is the basic that all system should understand. Today I installed libeoffice and after some time the xterm window becomes unresponsible and the apt-get process diapeared. In the xterm I can see the last lines: Adding debian:GeoTrust_Universal_CA.pem Adding debian:QuoVadis_Root_CA_3.pem Adding debian:EBG_Elektronik_Sertifika_Hizmet_SaÄBÄ°TAK_UEKAE_Kök_Sertifika_Hizmet_SaÄ For me it looks like a internalisation problem in xterm, but I'm not sure if it's caused by using problematic characters in the libreoffice install scripts. Beside of this the apt-get seem to have finished it's job, libreoffice seems to be installed.
