Dear Maintainer,

upon booting the background display is corrupted
(some kind of summary tiling, the colors are right
but the display is in blocky chunks).

changing the background will bring up an uncorrupted
image (if i select a different one and then select
the original again).

i'm currently reverted to the previous working
version.  (Version 2.21.15-2+b2)

thanks! any questions i'll be happy to answer...

Bug#814048: ITP: wayland-protocols -- Wayland Compositor Protocols

2016-02-07 Thread Héctor Orón Martínez
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: "Héctor Orón Martínez"

* Package name: wayland-protocols
  Version : 1.0
  Upstream Author : https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/wayland-devel
* URL : https://cgit.freedesktop.org/wayland/wayland-protocols/
* License : Expat
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : Wayland Compositor Protocols

 Wayland protocols that add functionality not available in the Wayland core
 protocol. Such protocols either add completely new functionality, or extend
 the functionality of some other protocol either in Wayland core, or some other
 protocol in wayland-protocols.

 The package is relevant for building newer weston, GTK3 toolkit and possibly
 many other software components.

 I would like to maintain that package inside pkg-xorg team. I do not need a
 sponsors, co-maintainers would be great.

wayland-protocols: new Debian packaging

  Includes debian packaging for the first release of wayland-protocols.

  wayland-protocols contains protocols and protocol extensions
  complementing the Wayland core protocol with additional functionality. As
  of this release, projects can start to add a build time dependency on
  wayland-protocols and use wayland-scanner to generate protocol C API
  using the XML protocol files installed by wayland-protocols.

  This release include the following unstable protocols:

  . fullscreen-shell
  . input-method
  . linux-dmabuf
  . pointer-gestures
  . presentation-timing
  . text-input
  . xdg-shell

  No stable protocols were introduced in this release.

The described behaviour can only happen if the radeon driver isn't
actually used, but instead a generic driver such as vesa. The Xorg log
file and dmesg output will be necessary to determine if that is due to a
configuration error or bug in another package, but it's most definitely
not an xserver-xorg-video-radeon bug.
