Bug#787241: xserver-xorg-video-intel: VT never returns from powersave on Haswell

2015-06-04 Thread Amaya
Aftyer playing around a bit, I am no longer experiencing this with
a different window manager (meta), so I doubt this bugs belongs to
xserver-xorg-video-intel. I have no idea which xfce package, though.

Thanks!

Bug#787241: xserver-xorg-video-intel: VT never returns from powersave on Haswell

Hash: SHA1

Hi there!

I am seeing this same issue on a very similar system. Also a i915 card
with a similar environment (xfce, lightdm and so on).

I'd like to see this fixed and if there's anything I can do to help the
maintainers troublesooth, just ping! ATM I'm not having a lot of luck
finding the origin of this problem on my own, so any suggestions you may
have are very welcome. The normal firmware packages are installed.

dmesg shows this, very soon after boot, in case it helps (maybe it0s not
even related, I'm almost sure I've seen this before and X was working
perfectly)

Well, I was told upstream wanted to conduct a poll in this bug number.
Was this never the case?

I am sure the maintainers of the xserver-xorg package will help you
further.
