Bug#295042: /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86: cannot use keyboard in gdm or kdm after fresh install of sarge

2007-01-16 Thread Braden Temme

Brice,

I vaguely remember the problem. I know I somehow fixed it, but I don't
quite remember what it was. The solution might of been related to the conf
file for X. Might as well go ahead and close it.

kdm after fresh install of sarge

Hi,

About 2 years ago, you reported (or replied to) a bug in the Debian BTS
regarding unusable keyboard in gdm or kdm after sarge install, possibly
related to the mouse configuration. Did any of you guys reproduce this
problem recently? If not, I will close this bug in the next weeks.

Thanks,
Brice

Bug#295042: /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86: cannot use keyboard in gdm or kdm after fresh install of sarge

2005-02-12 Thread Braden Temme
Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10
Severity: critical
File: /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86
Justification: breaks the whole system

This is a fresh install of sarge. My keyboard works fine until either
GDM or KDM (I've tried both) start. After that the keyboard is
useless.
