Bug#752868: Bug black screen with xrandr on a netbook with dual screen

2014-06-27 Thread cedric

Package: x11-xserver-utils
Version: 7.7~3 i386

Hello,

I have a netboot with a screen on the VGA output.
I start my computer on the netbook screen with this script (arandr script):

$ xrandr --output VGA1 --off --output LVDS1 --mode 1024x600 --pos 0x0
--rotate normal

When i start, there are no problems.

After i change screen whith this script:

$ xrandr --output LVDS1 --off --output VGA1 --mode 1440x900 --pos 0x0
--rotate normal

Most of the time my vga screen is black with just the mouse pointer.
And when i want go to the netbook screen, with the first script, most of
the time my LVDS screen is black.

I use Ctrl+Alt F8 and Ctrl+Alt F7 to have a normal output.

Since i change the fisrt script and the second one like this, my
problems are solved :

The first:
$ xrandr --output VGA1 --off
$ xrandr --output LVDS1 --mode 1024x600 --pos 0x0 --rotate normal
The second:
$ xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1440x900 --pos 0x0 --rotate normal
$ xrandr --output LVDS1 --off

Thank you.
Goodbye.

Bug#597214: Problem solved

2010-10-11 Thread Cedric JEGUN
Incident can be closed. Indeed, the bug was due to the paquet
libgl1-nvidia-glx. I got this paquet in the update list despite i don't
have nvidia device in my computer.
Removing it solved the issue.

Best regards,
Cédric

Bug#578391: X crashing with compiz/render enabled + intel VGA device + latest version of xorg-core

2010-04-19 Thread Cedric
I've investigated a little bit more and realized that the responsible of
crashings is actually a compiz extension : when alpha_blur is enabled to
any windows, it makes X crahing.
I think that severity can be decreased to low, as problem can be worked
around just disabling an extension.

Bug#438940: xkb-data: package overwrite user-modified files without notice

2007-08-20 Thread Cedric Pradalier
Package: xkb-data
Version: 1.0~cvs.20070721-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

I like to modify my keyboard configuration to suit my needs by modifying files
in /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols.
Each time xkb-data is updated, it overwrites my modifications. I think
this files should be considered configuration files as if they were in etc, and
the same behaviour should apply. If the file has been modified since last
install, then ask user for advice, or back it up.

Thanks.

Bug#425969: additionnal informations

2007-05-26 Thread cedric

xserver version :
$ apt-show-versions xserver-xorg-core
xserver-xorg-core/sid uptodate 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-5

installed your libx11-6, removed libxcb-*, restarted X and it works like a
charm :)
So the bug is actually related to libxcb.

Bug#425969: additionnal informations

2007-05-26 Thread cedric

ok, I think I have identified the problematic package :
libx11-6 2:1.1.1-1 (experimental) and libx11-xcb1(experimental) are on my
system. there are the only 2 X related packages that are different from my
system and another (sid too) where it works.
I already had some problems and incompabilities with libx11-xcb1but though it
was migrated to sid with xserver-xorg and I forget it when I firstly see the
bug.

Of course, but when I said xorg 1:7.2-3 up to date, I mean with all
dependencies ;) and since I didn't know which part of xork is responsible, I
fill a bug on xorg !

I think it could be xserver-xorg-core too since is the only one that is
upgraded between lenny and sid.
But I just see that I use libxi6 from experimental :/

here the system informations get from reportbug :

Bug#362277: xserver-xorg-video-ati: Dual head does not work any more

2006-04-19 Thread Cedric Blancher
Package: xserver-xorg-video-ati
Version: 1:6.5.7.3-3
Followup-For: Bug #362277

Same problem here.

I could work around this problem using r200 binaries snapshot from
http://dri.freedesktop.org/snapshots/ using
r200-20060403-linux.i386.tar.bz2. It's dirty, but does (badly) the
trick. Will try building ATI driver as advised before.

BTW, it seems to be upstream problems with at least radeon driver and
video output routing. As for me, using stock xserver-xorg-video-ati
package, I have two issues:

1. Dual head configuration using MergedFB or Xinerama has CRT1
clone displayed on CRT2 despites the fact Xorg properly
detects CRT2 and activates dual head accordingly. So I have
my double size panel, one half not being displayed.

2. Using Xorg 6.8, if I booted my laptop with no display
attached to VGA output, I had de facto LCD panel clone when
connecting display or beamer, being awaited behaviour for
presentation and stuff. Since 6.9, this behaviour has
disappeared, I have to wether use a different MergedFB
configuration in clone mode or use BIOS key (Fn-F8) that does
not allow having LCD _and_ CRT display at the same time.

The first issue is apparently close to get solved, but I don't have any
hint on the second one. Clue anyone ?

Bug#177369: best webcam

2005-10-28 Thread Cedric
Shiiit bro

You'll never guess what happened last night.

Pretty much found a grown-up date site that you can use without paying.

Tons of girls, guys, and couples are there messaging and meeting eachother.

And I'm sure there is someone (or more than one :P) for you.

Although most of them want one-night-quickies, there are also those who like it
serious.

Whatever floats your boat :)

Voila!
