Bug#580980: xserver-xorg-video-radeon: pink tinted translucent windows on Mobility 7500 M7 LW [rv200]

2010-09-10 Thread Fabien Steinmetz
 Does

 Option RenderAccel off

in xorg.conf work around this bug ?

Actually, by setting it to off the translucency isn't pink anymore (with
OpenGL backend) but it doesn't look like with Xrender either.

NB : 1px white line is displayed both in console X

in xorg.conf I added these lines

Section Device
Option RenderAcceloff

Identifier Card0
Driver radeon
VendorName ATI Technologies Inc
BoardName Radeon Mobility M7 LW [Radeon Mobility 7500]
BusID PCI:1:0:0
EndSection

In Xorg.0.log I can see
(**) RADEON(0): Option RenderAccel off

BTW, does the pink translucency happen with the OpenGL and/or XRender
 backend for KDE compositing?

Pink translucency happens only with the OpenGL backend.
Transluency looks fine with XRender

But I also noticed this additional issue :
  - When i disable effects in KDE, the title bar border of the windows is
missing, or corrupted, and not refreshed (see screenshot with konsole).
Should I file another bug for this one ?

If there isn't one already, yes.

ok, it's : 596061
