Bug#333496: wacom_drv.so: undefined symbol: IsPad
Hello This problem still seems to be around with the current xserver-xorg-Package in unstable. Or am I doing anything wrong? $ dpk -s xserver-xorg Package: xserver-xorg Status: install ok installed Priority: optional Section: x11 Installed-Size: 14624 Maintainer: Debian X Strike Force Architecture: i386 Source: xorg-x11 Version: 6.9.0.dfsg.1-1 Replaces: xserver-xfree86 Provides: xserver Depends: xserver-common (>= 6.9.0.dfsg.1-1), libc6 (>= 2.3.5-1), libgcc1 (>= 1:4.0.2), libxau6, libxdmcp6, zlib1g (>= 1:1.2.1), debconf (>= 0.5) | debconf-2.0 Recommends: xlibs, discover | discover1, mdetect, xresprobe (>= 0.4.13), laptop-detect Suggests: libglide2 (>> 2001.01.26) Conflicts: xlibs (<< 6.8.2.dfsg.1-5), xserver-xfree86 (<< 6.8.2.dfsg.1-1), nvidia-glx (<= 1.0.7174-4) Conffiles: /etc/init.d/xserver-xorg 3a12829045ded9a8427be206f7861f5e Description: the X.Org X server The X.Org X server is an X server for several architectures and operating systems, which is derived from the XFree86 4.x series of X servers. . The X.Org server supports most modern graphics hardware from most vendors, and supersedes all XFree86 X servers. . If the discover, mdetect, laptop-detect and xresprobe packages are installed, this package's configuration script will use them to attempt automatic configuration of the X server based on your information returned by your video card, mouse, and monitor. . This package suggests the libglide2 package, which is necessary for the X.Org X server's "glide" video driver to work with 3Dfx Interactive's Voodoo Graphics and Voodoo2 cards. Users of other video cards need not install libglide2. Bug#250331: xserver-xfree86: wacom graphire ii doesn't work together with linux kernel 2.6.5

This seems to be an incompatiblity of > > xfree86 with the new kernel. > Okay. May I ask why you think this bug should have been filed against > xserver-xfree86 instead of the Linux kernel? Oh. Yes. You are right. I should have filed this bug against the kernel. I am sorry. This is the first bug I ever filed on debian.org. Should I refile this bug under the kernel? -- cu --== Jerri ==-- Homepage: http://www.jerri.de/ ICQ: 54160208 Public PGP Key: http://www.jerri.de/jerris_public_key.asc
Bug#250331: xserver-xfree86: wacom graphire ii doesn't work together with linux kernel 2.6.5
Package: xserver-xfree86 Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-1 Severity: normal Using the new kernel 2.6.5 (build from the debian-kernel-source) and using the exact same configuration as in 2.4.x, the wacom graphire II mouse I am using doesn't work. This seems to be an incompatiblity of xfree86 with the new kernel. As you can see in the Logfile of X the wacom graphire II is correctly found and identified: (==) Wacom Kernel Input device name: "Wacom Graphire" (==) Wacom tablet maximum X=10206 maximum Y=7422 X resolution=0 Y resolution=0 suppress=5 X resolution=0 looks suspicious though. With the given XF86Config-4-File it works with 2.4.x but not with 2.6.x (Mouse curser doesn't move or click if using the wacom graphire II Mouse.). Only change is in 2.4.x I have to use /dev/event/0 and in 2.6.5 /dev/event/1. (btw: Using /dev/event/mice you can at least somehow use the mouse of the wacom tablet. But the mouse is in absolute mode, which is a pain. And you don't have all the functions from the pen of the tablet (like pressure sensitivity)) -- Package-specific info: Contents of /var/lib/xfree86/X.roster: xserver-xfree86 /etc/X11/X target unchanged from checksum in /var/lib/xfree86/X.md5sum.
