Bug#844711: libxkbcommon: Documentation incomplete, needs B-D graphviz

2016-11-18 Thread Jakob Haufe
Source: libxkbcommon

Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

libxkbcommon uses doxygen which in turn needs dot from graphviz.

See [1] line 1121+ and e.g. [2].

Should be fixed by adding graphviz as build dependency.

Cheers,
sur5r

Dear Maintainer,

The package xserver-xorg-input-all correctly bring in the package xserver-xorg-

Bug#565773: [xserver-xorg-video-intel] Segfaults when trying to lock screen

2010-01-18 Thread Jakob Lell

Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Version: 2:2.9.1-2
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

The xserver crashes with a segmentation fault when trying to use the
lock screen functionality of gnome. This only occurs when using an
external monitor and the internal notebook display is turned off. It
doesn't happen when using the internal notebook display or both displays
simultaneously. I've attached an Xorg.log which contains a stack trace
of the crash.

I have turned off KMS (by adding i915 modeset=0 to my /etc/modules)
because the internal display of my Samsung X20 XVM 1730 IV notebook
otherwise stops working when loading the i915 module manually or during
xserver startup (and I didn't have the time to figure out whether this
can be fixed using some kernel parameters).

Bug#546538: Seems to be working again with xserver-xorg-intel 2:2.9.1-1

2009-12-13 Thread Jakob Haufe
Hi all,

the recent update of xserver-xorg-intel to 2:2.9.1-1 reminded me of this
problem. For me, warzone2100 is working fine again. I'm running a
self-compiled 2.6.31 with KMS enabled.

Anyone else?

Regards,
Jakob

xdm's greeter uses Xft nowadays, so that sounds like the same problem
with core fonts I reported as http://bugs.debian.org/534766 .

I just tried the non-experimental packages from #534766, without
success. However, I tried disabling KMS, which then disables UXA and DRI2.
Terminal is working again, as well as glxgears. Trying warzone2100, the map
is not visible. The toolbar windows are there, though.

Hi!

After updating from 2:1.6.1.901-2, all windows except for the root window are
garbled on my machine. It's possible to guess the positions of the windows,
but it's impossible to read anything inside.

Bug#526260: xorg: cursor appears on all displays

2009-04-30 Thread Jakob
Package: xorg
Version: 1:7.4+1
Severity: normal

I have X configured with two screens (without Xinerama) like this:

  Section ServerLayout
Identifier Default Layout
Screen 0 Screen0 0 0
Screen 1 Screen1 RightOf Screen0
...

Previously, the mouse cursor worked seamlessly across displays. After
upgrading to the newest xorg version, though, the cursor persists on the
inactive screen after moving across the display boundary. It's as if
the last displayed position on the previous screen isn't erased when it
hops to the next screen.

This doesn't interfere with normal operations, it's just annoying :-).

Bug#318576: *-dev: Please include lib* descriptions in lib*-dev / lib*-dbg ditto

2005-07-16 Thread Jakob Bohm
Package: xorg-x11
Severity: minor

The X development packages currently have incomplete descriptions such as:

Header files and a static version of the SM library are provided by this
 package.
 .
See the libsm6 package for further information.

While this seems to be an increasingly common practice, it appears to be
against policy and even if there is an exception for this, it is certainly
user-unfriendly.

Rationale: Most package selection front ends, including aptitude, only
display the description for the current package. References to the
descriptions of other packages thus require a rather large number of
keystrokes to read (compared to 0 (zero) for the description of the package
itself).

I respectfully suggest that the phrase see the package for further
information in these cases be replaced by the actual description of that
package. It may be preferable for this to be done by a script, so future
changes to the description of are automagically reflected in the -dev
package.

Respectfully

Jakob
