It was previously fully reproducible.
Now, I tried multiple times without any success to reproduce on
up-to-date Sid, with a 2.6.18-4-686 then 2.6.21-1-686 kernel.

It works now, man!

Etch still shows the same problem on an IBM T23.
I upgraded to Sid lately, but did not test if the problem is still present.
I can test it tonight and report it if you request me to.

I confirm it also works on my IBM Thinkpad T23 with this procedure.
Thanks a lot.

Bug#363316: libxft-dev should no longer depend on x-dev, but on x11proto-core-dev

2006-04-18 Thread Jerome Warnier
Package: libxft-dev
Version: 2.1.8.2-6
Severity: minor

libxft-dev should no longer depend on x-dev, but on x11proto-core-dev,
as it is the last package to depend upon the x-dev transitional package
instead of x11proto-core-dev.

2006-02-14 Thread Jerome Warnier

I think I have the same problem of corruption than #320328, but on a
Matrox MGA G200 AGP.
I did not experience this before upgrading Xorg from 6.8.2 to 6.9.0.

Bug#343828: xbase-clients: [xrdb] please allow use of xrdb parameters

2005-12-17 Thread Jerome Warnier
Package: xbase-clients
Version: 6.8.2.dfsg.1-11
Severity: wishlist

As of http://www.gnome.org/~lcolitti/gnome-startup/analysis/, I wanted
to try using mcpp instead of GNU cpp, but
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/30x11-common_xresources did not ease modifications
for it, so I wrote a tiny patch (here for using parameter "-cpp mcpp" of
course, but should be generic and clean enough for whatever other
usage).

Hope you can get this included anytime soon.

Bug#97401: update: XFree86 4.2.x have a native driver for S3 non-Savage and non-Virge

2003-01-18 Thread Jerome Warnier
Package: xbase-clients

Should use "s3" driver for all those non-Savage and non-Virge S3 cards.
No longer either "vga" or "vesa" should be needed.

BTW, why is hwdata's Cards version soo different from XFree86's?
