Bug#618292: SELinux: Failed to open x_contexts mapping in policy

2011-03-13 Thread Joseph Nahmias
Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 1:7.6+4
Severity: important

Hi,

When I upgraded xorg in sid, my X stopped working, and /var/log/Xorg.0.log had
the line:

Fatal server error: SELinux: Failed to open x_contexts mapping in policy

I had to downgrade in order to get everything working again. Here's the info
[from /var/log/dpkg.log] on what I changed to make it work again:

2011-03-13 22:24:29 upgrade xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.14.0-4 2:2.13.0-5
2011-03-13 22:27:23 upgrade xserver-xorg-input-kbd 1:1.6.0-1 1:1.4.0-2
2011-03-13 22:27:23 upgrade xserver-xorg-input-mouse 1:1.7.0-1 1:1.5.0-2
2011-03-13 22:27:23 upgrade xserver-xorg-input-evdev 1:2.6.0-2 1:2.3.2-6
2011-03-13 22:27:24 upgrade xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 1.4.0-1 1.2.2-2
2011-03-13 22:29:26 upgrade xserver-xorg-video-intel-dbg 2:2.14.0-4
2:2.13.0-5
2011-03-13 22:31:06 upgrade xserver-xorg-core 2:1.9.4.901-1 2:1.7.7-12
2011-03-13 22:31:07 upgrade xserver-xorg-core-dbg 2:1.9.4.901-1 2:1.7.7-12
2011-03-13 22:32:00 upgrade xserver-common 2:1.9.4.901-1 2:1.7.7-12
2011-03-13 22:38:24 upgrade xserver-xorg 1:7.6+4 1:7.5+8
2011-03-13 22:39:51 upgrade xorg 1:7.6+4 1:7.5+8

Here's my complete /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old:

OK, as requested, I removed the vga=871 from the kernel command line and
got the following:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /proc/fb
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ls -l /proc/fb
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 2008-02-27 21:52 /proc/fb

server -- Intel i8xx, i9xx display driver
ii xserver-xorg-video-intel-dbg 2:2.2.1-1 X.Org X
server -- Intel i8xx, i9xx display driver

Still crashes in exactly the same way. Full backtrace attached.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help matters
along. Should I be running git version of something?

Thanks,

OK, as requested, attached is the full backtrace.
For good measure I've also attached the Xorg.log; but, to my untrained
eye, there doesn't seem to be a backtrace included...
