Bug#461153: Rotation on RV350
Hi, The problem with rotation on RV350 (left of the screen not refreshed) does not seem to be present anymore with the 1:6.8.1~git20080302.a4398ac3-1 version of the ati driver. However this is not fully usable since the mouse pointer is still often messed up. Thanks for your work! Cheers, Samuel. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#389433: xserver-xorg-video-fbdev: Rotate option does not work anymore
Package: xserver-xorg-video-fbdev Version: 1:0.3.0-3 Severity: normal Hi, I use fbdev to rotate my screen (my monitor can be turned vertically) since the driver (ati) for my video card does not support it. The corresponding option in xorg.conf is: Option "Rotate" "CCW" It used to work very well, but since the last reboot of my box I get an unreadable screen with this option. It looks like four interleaved copies of the screen (shown horizontally) evenly horizontally translated (it's a bit hard to describe it, but in one word, it's a mess). I guess that the problem was introduced between 1:0.1.0.5-2 and 1:0.3.0-3. It's a bit hard to track this more precisely since no upstream changelog is shipped with the pacakge. Feel free to tell me if you need me to do some tests, etc. Thanks for your help. Bug#368063: xserver-xorg: BackingStore causes some areas not to be redrawn with a Radeon Mobility M6
Package: xserver-xorg Version: 1:7.0.18 Severity: normal Hi, I've had the BackingStore option enabled for a long time in my xorg.conf. Approximatively when I upgraded to xorg 7, some areas of the screen started not to be redranwn. In particular, when I close a window, the portion of the window below it is often left as a black (or white) square. It took me some time to understand that it came from the BackingStore option of my xorg.conf (the problem vanishes if I remove this option). Thanks for your work. Bug#256356: xserver-xfree86: X freezes the computer with 2.6.7 kernel
> Can you tell me why you think this is an XFree86 bug, and not a kernel > bug? Ok. I have some bad news. I have a friend of mine who has the exact same model of computer. He is running a Gentoo and has no problems with X (which comes from X.org in Gentoo). I have compiled a 2.6.7 with his .config and started X with the same XF86Config-4 as his. However X still crashes. This makes me think that Debian's XFree86 should be incriminated. pgpxq0Srjz62X.pgp Description: PGP signature

I don't really know and I have no way to know which one should be incriminated. I have also posted a mail on the lkml about that but nobody has replied to it. Since I have no clue about that and it's xfree which takes 100% of the CPU I decided to file a BR against xfree. If you think this is a kernel bug you may reassign it.
