Bug#592303: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics: Dedicated vertical scroll areas not working and not configurable
Le 07/05/2012 11:02, Cyril Brulebois a écrit : Hi, Bob Freemer (09/08/2010): Many touchpads (esp. Gateway and Dell) have dedicated vertical scroll regions just to the right of the main touchpad area. The recent updates to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics has broken this. Further, I have attempted many different custom configurations of the driver to recreate the vertical scroll features. The touchpad and all vertical scrolling worked perfectly before the vertical scroll option was yanked upstream. The bug is even more serious in that not only is the vertical scrollbar non-functional, but the mouse jumps across the screen when reaching the right edge of the main touchpad area. This makes the mouse nearly unusable. is it better with 1.6.0 currently in unstable? No, still the same: [ 2394.784] xorg-server 2:1.12.1-2 (Cyril Brulebois) ... Bug#617763: /usr/bin/gtk-window-decorator: Windows decoration disappear. No more button minimize, maximize nor close
Hi Sean, sorry to be late, strange is that I didn't received your mail, I just today came back to look after this issue. I update all to experimental, no changes. I removed compiz stuff and experimental from source list and then reinstall compiz: still not OK. But I can get it work if inside the X session I launch the command "compiz --replace" -- Daniel -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-x-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Also one thing to try would be to upgrade libgl1-mesa-{glx,dri} to the version in experimental, assuming you're using the 7.7.1 version from sid now. Any news about this case? well, Julien asked you to try some stuff, I guess he was expecting you to actually try them and report back. Hi, I sended all infos on 07/07/2010 at 16h48 (Message #15) and analysis can be found here http://ickle.wordpress.com/2010/07/07/bugs-kill-one-and-two-more-grow-in-its-place/ (see message #20) A status updated with sid's kernel and sid's X stack would be appreciated. I changed my laptop, can't do any further test. From my side you can close this bug. -- Daniel -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-x-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
